Team, I have searched the forums and cannot find much data to go on, hoping someone can help.  I currently have a rig with 3 sapphire nitro+ rx 480 4gb epilda cards.  In a few days I will buy 4 more to fill my msi z97 gaming 5 board.  I am currently running Anorak's OC rom on it and I am getting 28.7 MH/s per card.  First I would like to know if this is good, or can I find/pay for better.  Secondly I have noticed that my gpu0 card always seems to dip down to 24-25 MH/s and wont go back up till I restart the miner.  The others run steady at 28.7  I am currently running Windows 10 Ent.  Would also like to know if anyone can point me to a really good tutorial for me to customize the rom myself.  I have watched dozens of youtube videos and I know about Polaris bios editor and staying with a driver version that does not do checks on the roms.  I am just unsure exactly how to change what fields in polaris, for example what settings can I change or suppose to change in polaris.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

You don't have to pay for modded BIIOS. Yu can find one on Youtube. Search for "buriedone elpida" video. Its very good. I'm using it myself. I can get my Nitro up to 31MH/s. You canalso mod the BIOS by yourself. Anorak forum has the tutorial using Hexedit.

It's not necessary.

You are correct, I was trying someones rom that is 256 and kept getting errors saying no vbios file detected.  As soon as I got the original rom from techpowerup that was 256 it flashed fine.  So that means that "buriedone elpida" rx 480 rom is busted

Has anyone had an issue with modding the bios where after they flash a bios that works fine when a single card is plugged in and shows the correct settings but when 2 cards plugged in that same flashed bios shows the minimal settings like 680 core and 975 mem?

What driver you use?
Have you patch your driver with atikmdag-patcher, you can check it at https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

Wah don't know about that.
I always use latest driver that can be patched since I'm playing game so much.
Maybe you can try Crimson 17.2.1 driver.
