Hello OCminer, anyway to add -dpsw d=xx to dcr?.
Hey ! That should actually working already, not working for you ? No. It is strange because many coins work with it except dcr, "-di 0 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:2252 -dwal username.worker -dpsw password -dcri 53 -dpsw d=9 -dcri 53", difficult stays variable around 1.50 ~ 1.90.

Estimates should be pretty close, my testrig with 2x480 is pretty much on par with whattomine, maybe 5% less some days but also plus 5% other days

Estimates are estimates.. Usually the round estimates should, if all goes well, your hashrate stays stable etc. end up in your unconfirmed balance after the round. And after approx 24h they should finally end up in your confirmend balance which is then available for withdrawal Check www.whattomine.com for Estimates

I had lots of brute force attacks on that Pool (that was the main reason for all the locked accounts). It stopped since I enabled the captcha. I'll disable it again when the dust settles. Is it really so bad? It's the easy variant of recaptcha which should be quick and easy to solve

@ocminerIs there any proxy that I can use with your pool? I tried this one https://github.com/bitbandi/decred-proxy ... it took me some time to figure out the fucked-up dependencies of go-ethereum before I was able to build it just to discover that it doesn't seem to support stratum to the pool and even with getwork it gives me this "Error while refreshing block template on SuprnovaHTTP: unexpected end of JSON input" constantly.

(edit:see my next reply) Last commit was about a year ago... Also I wonder why isn't there a "universal" stratum mining proxy...? Or at least one that supports the most popular tokens. That would solve lots of issues for both miners and pools.

well... apparently v0.4.5 release can be built with latest eth & dcr dependencies if you fix the util.go like this: package util
import ( "math/big" "math/rand" "strconv" "time"
"github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/common" "github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/common/math" )
var pow256 = math.BigPow(2, 256)
func Random() string { min := int64(100000000000000) max := int64(999999999999999) n := rand.Int63n(max-min+1) + min return strconv.FormatInt(n, 10) }
func MakeTimestamp() int64 { return time.Now().UnixNano() / int64(time.Millisecond) }
func MakeTargetHex(minerDifficulty float64) string { minerAdjustedDifficulty := int64(minerDifficulty * 1000000 * 100) difficulty := big.NewInt(minerAdjustedDifficulty) diff1 := new(big.Int).Div(pow256, difficulty) return string(common.ToHex(diff1.Bytes())) }
func TargetHexToDiff(targetHex string) *big.Int { targetBytes := common.FromHex(targetHex) return new(big.Int).Div(pow256, new(big.Int).SetBytes(targetBytes)) }
But it still gives me this shit:

You have that sometimes (on all pools) when someone hashes with the wrong algo - he'll be automatically banned in a matter of minutes

Can you please add 2FA to the site.. Like Google Authenticator? As it is I'm going to have to give up on Decred at all.. All pools suck or have no true 2FA security! Example of Zpool.ca OK something is seriously wrong here.. The amount I am suppose to be paid goes down after it showed cleared and total unpaid? WTF? DsTCsvgwxveiMEYBEBK7pAAojtekY8oE5af 0.81469557 DCR 13jVbA4FwX34KfCm1M6Thr8BQMWsnbzf4L 0.00003246 BTC This was from this morning! Note over 1.274211 is total cleared. Yet my balance was 0.94941553 DCR and now it's mysteriously gone down even more to 0.81469557 DCR? Now anyone explain to me how I am losing DCR when I have not even been paid yet? This really looks wrong to me! Last 50 Earnings: DsTCsvgwxveiMEYBEBK7pAAojtekY8oE5af Name Amount Percent mBTC Time Status Decred (decred) 0.795311 DCR 4.155% 5.23140 24h ago Cleared Decred (decred) 0.478900 DCR 2.342% 3.15011 24h ago Cleared Balance 0.94941553 DCR But the cleared is higher than balance? I really would like to mine this coin but I can't trust any of the pools and the ONLY pool I can trust has no 2FA for security! Crypto Currency has become hackers dream and I never want to lose coins like happened before due to lack of 2FA.. I lost over 40 ethereum coins back in Nov/Dec

Hmm, nope, all good here. My workers are shown perfectly and I also see pool hash, balance etc. There was a DNS update 2-3 days ago, maybe you're still having the old ip entry in your cache? Try using Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 and try again EDIT: Found the error on my side ! Fixed, many thanks for info !

Pool has been updated to the new mining protocol, all miners have updated versions too, all you need to do is update your miner and point it to the new port.
I've set 0% fee on the pool for all miners for now

I'm sorry for your bad experience with zpool, however this is not the support thread for zpool.
What kind of 2FA would you like? Google Authenticator?
Yes that would be perfect! I'm on it, testing it currently, should be available soon. How is the testing going on. I'm sure you had to put it on hold a bit to get the new V3 stake for Decred fixed up.

I'm back on it - it's not so easy as thought, where would you like to have it ? right when you log-in or when you withdraw / edit profile etc ?

Is this line okay (win10 64bit AMD) with the new port? sgminer -k decred -o http://dcr.suprnova.cc: 3252 -u Weblogin.Worker -p WorkerPassword -I 21 -w 64 -g 2 Because I'm getting: [timestamp] dcr.suprnova.cc asking for inappropriately long nonce2 length 12 [timestamp] Not attempint to submit shared And from the dashboard: https://dcr.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=dashboardall the graphs are empty, only "Round progress" is moving and my worker is not showing. Not having all these issues with zdash.suprnova.cc to say.

I'm back on it - it's not so easy as thought, where would you like to have it ? right when you log-in or when you withdraw / edit profile etc ? I think it's best for payouts. Coinotron just does it for payout so can easily leave cookies for logging onto site to check status but if making a payout request, unlock request, or wallet address change make it require the 2FA. Once that is implemented you can pretty much leave lock out mostly automated as it will require 2FA for those who use it and much safer than email Thanks

is the pool running now?
I tried to run this exact command
ethdcrminer64.exe -epool eth.suprnova.cc:5005 -ewal suprnova.1 -epsw x -esm 3 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal suprnova.1 -dpsw x -allpools 1
It often gives some bad connection and json ethdcrminer can't read.
I also tried
Bin\Ethash-Claymore\EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool europe.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17020 -ewal pornluver.multipoolminer -epsw x -esm 3 -allpools 1 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal pornluver.decred -dpsw x -dcoin dcr -dcri 30
All my shares are rejected.
In multipoolminer and miningpoolhub what's important is our username. Password and worker names are not important. What about in suprnova?

I mined just fine at miningpoolhub. Now I tried to mine at suprnova.cc I have these problems I only need to double mine dcr because miningpoolhub does not have it. Use mph for eth (or any other pool) and suprnova for dcr and you should be fine

Hmmmm, so my hashrate according to the site is 836.97MH/s but claymore is consistently around 1005MH/s - is this anything too worry about?
Also my efficiency is about 93%... Is this a problem? Anything I can do to increase it?
Thanks

I'll try to implement that over the weekend, however, you can just register with any throw-away email address and a random username.. you don't need to enter any private data or so.. I don't really see whats so bad about registering

I got 8 cards that do 950mh/s each and i got huge fluctuations on the account information on the website.
Sometimes it shows 11000mh/s which cannot be right, and some times it goes down to 2000mh/s.
My cards are running stable with no reboots or anything, is there something i am doing wrong ?

Leave the dashboard open a bit - it should stabilize after 10-15 minutes - the graph should get more flat. You can also try to specify static diff. Set the diff so that you submit one share about every 10-15 sec. After all, hashrate itself doesn't count so much, it's the accumulated difficulty of your shares / block which makes the payout, so don't give too much attention to fliuctuations, they're more or less normal.

You launch your miner with something similar like this: ccminer -o stratum+tcp://dcr.surpnova.cc:3252 -u myusername.myworkername -p x Now you'd start it with: ccminer -o stratum+tcp://dcr.surpnova.cc:3252 -u myusername.myworkername -p d=16 to get a static diff of 16

Do i have to change the password on your website for the miner as well or leave it like it is ? I am using claymore to dual mine, not ccminer. So in the password field instead of x, i use d=16 right? Should i make it more than 16 or is it ok ? Should i do it for both miners or only the strong one ?

How can i specify static diff? Sorry i am new to the game Use the password Field for your miner. d=16 as password for example sets a static diff of 16 I didnt quite get that, can you be more specific ? I got 2 workers now, because my main rig is running 7 cards and the other is running 1 card, until my m.2 to pcie gets here. You launch your miner with something similar like this: ccminer -o stratum+tcp://dcr.surpnova.cc:3252 -u myusername.myworkername -p x Now you'd start it with: ccminer -o stratum+tcp://dcr.surpnova.cc:3252 -u myusername.myworkername -p d=16 to get a static diff of 16 Hey, thanks for helping. Do i have to change the password on your website for the miner as well or leave it like it is ? I am using claymore to dual mine, not ccminer. So in the password field instead of x, i use d=16 right? Should i make it more than 16 or is it ok ? Should i do it for both miners or only the strong one ? You can leave the password on the pool like it is - no problem. Make it so, that claymore submits one share every 10-15 seconds.

Sorry for the support question - but I have four workers running now, only 3 are shown on the dashboard as if the 4th does not exist. It's communicating with the pool no problem, shares accepted, etc.
I have 8 workers set up in my account, (only 4 operating right now) and on the worker page only 3 are showing as orange, and with "active" flag. Any ideas? They are all using the same Claymore configuration...

Create a new worker and use it for the missing rig

Create a new worker and use it for the missing rig That seems to have done it - thank you! Is it true that a new worker can be created simply by mining with a new worker name, or must the worker-name be created first?

I just started dual mining (ETH + DCR) yesterday. I set up an auto transfer to Poloniex, placed my deposit address (for DCR) from them into the Payment Address on Suprnova... put in place for every 0.1 DCR earned.
That's been a couple of hours now, and it does not show on Poloniex. When I go to the transaction information at decred.org it shows 28 "Confirmations". Is this towards the 40 "blocks" which are referenced, after which I should expect to see it show up in my Poloniex account?
--------------
Also, under the dashboard --- I think I need a glossary here !!!
> How long is an average "round" (I've looked at the ROUND PROGRESS several times yesterday and today, and it's always between 2-3%)
> "Round Earnings Estimate" - what's that mean, to me? These numbers seem to fluctuate significantly.
> Under "Last Found Block"... what is meant by the heading "luck"?
I show earnings of .5 DCR since yesterday afternoon, yet only one (.1) deposit is apparently in the works as of a couple of hours ago. What timetable should I normally expect?
THANKS !

From what I currently see, it seems that poloniex didn't do the mandatory update which was announced a few weeks ago and they ended up on a fork where payments from the pool don't go through obviously. Once they upgrade it should be fine

So I'm the "guy in the middle", and possess no $ ? !! What's this "mandatory update" you're referring to, and why would a place of their stature not implement it? I'm also interested in your reply to my other questions. Thanks

Better to deposit mined proceeds to a Decred wallet?
It adds another step, but if it gets there, well.... !!
So, my .1 (or just shy of that) Decred which was enroute to Poloniex... that's in limbo until they do something... whenever that occurs (weeks/months/never)??
Thanks

Well... there's another .1 DCR off to the abyss (transferred to Poloniex before I made a change) Changed my payment address to a decred wallet. Not that it's AT ALL big bucks, but what about my .2 DCR which is somewhere in the virtual world. Thanks
