Zcash, a decentralized and open-source cryptocurrency that has complete anonymity on the blockchain, is causing a lot of worries within law enforcement as most agencies think it will harbour illicit transactions.

A US state prosecutor, Kathryn Haun, expressed skepticism regarding claims of the full anonymity of Zcash, emphasizing that if it works as advertised then it would make the prosecutor’s job “a lot more difficult”. Criminals want to be paid, Haun stated in a news interview, therefore agents follow the money, but:
“If we all the sudden omit an entire source of evidence historically available, that will make our job a lot more difficult, definitely.”

After the latest Zcoin coin creation attack, you'd have to be an idiot to use Zcash. When someone does the same for Zcash, it won't be detectable. Apart from the perpetually declining price, that is.

All the more reason for anonymous crypto to be more popular. Not for the illegal things, for the simple ability to not have big brother knowing everything we do.

I can't really see zcash taking off. Firstly, it has so much competition from other currencies such as Dash and Monero, so many will feel it's not a necessary coin. Also, the first zcash traded for hundreds of dollars, while now they are worth around $30, so they have a lot of progress to make if they want their coin to become big.

all i can read here is talk about ZCash being a criminal's currency! an altcoin that you use only if you are doing something highly illegal and don't want anybody to find any trace of it!!!

regular users, while wanting privacy and anonymity, they never care about that kind of anonymity specially when a currency is this involved and also advertised as a criminal currency.

well it is true that anonymity also create problem in the society, but I still like zcash who dares to create feature that really anonymous, not all of the hidden transaction is for illegal things, sometimes we want hidden transaction so no bad guys can track the transaction, zcash is good alt coin but still need to be develop better and advertise better

We should accept that as technology gets advanced, hackers get smarter by the day and that should be used to tighten any loopholes and fix known bugs.

I still don't believe there is any coin that is totally anonymous including Zcash they technology may be difficult to find out but soon it would. There is no incentive to go after them now by law enforcement agencies since most of these ALtcoins are pump and dump and also riding on the success of Bitcoin

During launch hype was so high for zcash which cause massive pump on price. But as Zcash supply is increasing everyday its price will keep on decreasing like right now. Also monero is there with full anonymity and monero have already got attention from darkweb marketplaces so it will be hard for zcash to compete with monero.

bitcoin was never supposed to be that anonymous that you think. it is even clearly stated in the bitcoin.org website that bitcoin is not like that. it has always been a misconception spread by other misunderstood people.

zcash is just like the rest that offers anonymity nothing more to it but whats special about it is that it has good value  among the anon coins. it makes crypto on the spot light when articles like these are published for the crowd to be warned.  i never wish to invest to zcash but i have my eye to one of the anon already.

you can believe what you want but those coin are truly anonymous, you can't track them back in any way, they are based on zero proof knowledge, buit zcoin or zcash have stronger anonimity than monero, this is true, maybe monero is the one that is not fully anonymous

Is hard cash/Fiat, not the only anonymous currency? All the others you need to go to an exchange that requires your details. So what if they can't see who send what. when you convert it back to Fiat to use it you are stuffed. even if you break it up over time you will have to convert it very wisely not to have it count up to the amount that was sent. And if you get a few payments of large amounts you will have time problems. 

This is 1/2 Mil dollar in a normal briefcase. thank too $100 it is not a lot of space and that can transfer very easily between people. You can move that daily and no one will even think strange as all they see is a brief case. But do that in crypto and you are in trouble.

well it is true that anonymity also create problem in the society, but I still like zcash who dares to create feature that really anonymous, not all of the hidden transaction is for illegal things, sometimes we want hidden transaction so no bad guys can track the transaction, zcash is good alt coin but still need to be develop better and advertise better

the more informative ways of advertisement will enlighten investors why this coin have a good future ahead, using more anonymous transaction
can be more attracted if their is more information for both users and holders, as we knew that we are all inside crypto and the idea can be possible

you know what the funny part of it all is?
when these coins are getting dumped hard, their price falling for weeks or even months, and when their prices are low with no sign of rise whatsoever nobody talks about them, make any topic, make an article (not necessarily the link in OP but in general)!
but when they are pumped, and price reached the high levels that nobody is buying any longer and they want to cash out, everybody starts talking about those coins. you hear their names everywhere. on the forum, on news sites, on blogs,....

I'm telling you it is riskier to move half a million dollar in a price than to move it in Zcash. Alot of things may go wrong here moving that kind of physical cash what of if one of your team sold you out but I can move to UK now and I will still have my half a million with almost know risk once there is an internet access
