Author Topic: Poloneix say transaction completed but no track of transaction  (Read 374 times)

Hi,
I have sent 5ETH from poleniex to my local exchange account, and says transaction is complete, but when I try to trace it, there is no that transaction.

Complete   ETH   5.00000000
2017-06-20 23:29:20

and after few hour i go to https://etherscan.io
and transaction cannot be found?
any idea what should I do?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I experienced the same problem today.

Contacted the support.

It was in a timeframe where Poloniex has not initiated any Ethereum transactions for approx. hour and a half.
Between 4.00 UTC and 5.40 UTC apporx. on 21st of June 2017.

So there is no way it could have been completed.

Maybe they are suspending it temporarily but they should be announcing it.

Contacted the support.


I am giving praise where one is due.

The support was lightning fast in responding - couple of minutes max. (miracle in and of itself).
The Response in short:
"Ethereum network is heavily congested, our system incorrectly tags some txs as completed although they are not. We will broadcast your Transaction as soon as possible."

Even if it is an automated response given that you submitt a structured form concerning your issue it is still reassuring to know they recognize the problem.

Got the same problem with ~5 ETH and non-existent TX. Think they have some issue with their hot wallet because there's been no transactions for hours - https://etherscan.io/address/0x32be343b94f860124dc4fee278fdcbd38c102d88

/edit: Well, it's true there's congestion on ETH and some transactions aren't getting processed, so hopefully the issue will be resolved.

I am sorry to inform the ETH network is under heavy stress at the moment and some withdrawals are not being broadcast correctly.

Not looking good, "as soon as possibe" meeans they cannot do now? Why? I still have some eth there. Is it safe to withdraw? So unprofessional cannot believe.

Same response from the support.

My Transaction has been completed recently.
Initiated on 21st July approx. 4.30 UTC, completed 23st July approx. 7.10 UTC.

I guess they are dealing with the backlog. I doubt yours will be much longer.
It is a good sign at least that they are aware of the issue and respond to emails which gives some peace of mind.

Ethereum transfers are a big issue for some days now. I don't really know what they could have done better.
It's funny to see people not reading around and then complaining about everybody else that they are unprofessional.

Usually such problems were fixed within the day, from what I've read.
Good luck though and don't forget to come back and help the others by telling how long it took for your issue to get solved.

Initiated another ETH withdrawal right after the stuck transaction got through. It got broadcasted and arrived immediately.

Received transfer now. Took about 36 hours from time of initial withdrawal.
