In the Philippines Duterte gave full legal nihilism. Now he kills drug dealers, and then will kill disagree with his regime.

That sounds awfully judgmental for person, that presented but a single idea how to deal with armed gangs subservient to drug barons.

Do you wish to live in state that is policed by militia of drug lords? Inside Rio de Janeiro favelas perhaps? Or are you rather Detroit urban type?

The men that are being hunted down in Phillipines today are not your neighbours kids trying to get rich by selling marijuana at local high school. They are organized, armed, killers and traffickers. It is shameful, that instead of assistance the west scolds Phillipines for fighting back against these cancerous tumors.

That is very true, the current government headed py president duterte is trying its best to make our streets safe and free from criminals. But the other politicians and media personnel are going all out destroying the President. The reason is now clear its because they are receiving huge bribes from drug traders and that's why they are going against the President.

Wouldn't doubt this is also the same reason that the U.N decided that way in which they did, it's rather easy to pay these globalists scum to decide a certain way on blasting a leader who is actually taking charge on stopping the drug trade in his country.

People may say the way in which he's going about it is controversial and horrible, but everything relating to drugs being produced, sold, used, and so on are all controversial and horrible. So he's going to be fighting fire with fire, plus he has to fight all of the corrupt politicians, media outlets, and so on. This war isn't going to just be on drugs, it's going to be on everything relating to the money surrounding the drug trade.

Hats off to the President, for fighting the tough war on drugs.

I also like how President Duterte run his country. He is all action. He doesn't care what other country or Organization will say about it. Calling him dictators etc. At the end of the day, he answers to his people, not to those who also has something to say to this government. And you are correct, this fight or his fight not only for drugs, for for all drug money which benefits from it. Police, Mayors, and other politicians. That's why they are all hell bent on ousting him.

Till now more than 6,000 people have been killed (mostly by the cops, but also by the vigilante squads). As far as I know, enquiry have not been committed in to any of these murders. No one knows whether these people were actually drug smugglers, or just bystanders.

The UN-linked International Narcotics Control Board on Thursday condemned the use of extrajudicial killings in the Philippines, where President Rodrigo Duterte's much-criticized war on drugs has claimed more than 6,500 lives.

Duterte was elected in 2016 after promising to eradicate drugs in society. Since June, police have reported killing more than 2,550 people while more than 4,000 others have died in unexplained circumstances.

In a new annual report, the INCB said that "extrajudicial action, purportedly taken in pursuit of drug control objectives, is fundamentally contrary to the provisions and objectives" of international drug conventions.

The news is not new for me. United Nations has been a very vocal critic of President
Duterte especially the drug problems and extra-judicial killing in the Philippines.

Your Thoughts?

Well in my case its wrong to kill to does who won't fight but in the philippines i really think that some of the cops their are having fun of killing some people who do drugs they even put drugs on an innocent person just so they can arrest people, As i thought of it that its really really wrong they should protest and we have our own human rights to it. Cops in the philippines are prideful and they use their power for wrong interceptions.

The problem about our government here in the Philippines is that many politicians only thinks of their personal interest. They do not even consider the people. Media are too biased. The president have gained so much support from the Filipinos. But still, there  are other parties who wants President Duterte out of the picture. I hope UN will balance everything regarding this matter.

Nothing the UN will not be able to balance. This organization proved to be ineffective. The UN required a complete reorganization. They have become the world's policeman or to cease to exist.

At least that is less than 6500 addicts and pushers in the street that will likely do crime, or kill someone who is innocent. A lot of crimes in Philippines is because of people who are under the influence of drugs. They will mug you in the dark alley, and if you fight them, you are automatically dead. They don't select victims, whether you are young or old, the victims have human rights too, but they are already dead so where is the victims human rights there?

Not all of them are addicts, some of them are just bystanders, there are even children who were hit by stray bullets from police. It is avoidable if they are carefully planning all their raids and not just after the merit that they will receive after accomplishing their task.

I just hope that this next one is not as bloody as before. Just like how the PDEA do it.

And what is the law filipin addict is also a criminal? All over the world, the criminal is the one who spreads drugs, and whoever uses them, these are sick people. Although if the problem is acute, then the authorities will not sort out who is who.

My number 1 question in this anti drug war of which in principle i agree but in the way it is being executed i disagree is, how come the government has not found the sources yet? We have 7000 plus dead. Almost everyone are poor people. Dont tell me, there are no rich addict.Just my thoughts.

This is the main reason why I want the killings to stop. It is disproportionately targeting the poor and illiterate people. The rich can easily catch a flight to Thailand or Cambodia, where the drugs are available in the open.

Today, I read specifically information about what is really happening. The crime rate in the Philippines fell by 31.7% compared to the previous years, as President Roderigo Duteret was active in the fight against crime.

That is a fucked up situation to claim 6500 lives when you are curbing drug problem is a really big number and why does the international community does not speak against that.It is against human rights to kill somebody in the name of drugs until and until he is a problem to the society he must be locked inside rather than giving the capital punishment.

Are you sure that all these 6,500 people were actually drug addicts? There were media reports that at least some of them were innocent bystanders. Also, what was the need to kill them all? I thought that putting them in de-addiction centers would be a much better option.

Yes, not all of them are addicts and its too bad that some of them are "collateral damage" in this war. I fell sorry and pity for them. What I'm saying is that most of them are addicts, peddlers that must be get rid of the streets of Manila or the Philippines. Because the reality of crimes committed in the Philippines is that the criminals are all under the influence of drugs that's why they committed such acts. If we can rid of them, then crimes rate will fell so you felt secured going out at night.

I believe the only kill by Duterte Administration is terrorist ,rapist and drug lords .

Everyone makes mistakes. I don't think that all the 7,000+ people killed by the vigilante squads and the cops were connected to the drug business. Obviously some of them were bystanders or people who didn't had any connection with drugs.

First of all, it is necessary to block the channels of drug supplies to the country and this will be a good effect and much better than killing people all in a row. In order to fight drugs, you must first decide how to do it better.

They were already told even before Duterte was still running for president. After Duterte won the presidency he also warned many many times to stop doing it or even surrender or they will suffer the consequences. Thousands surrendered and weren't killed. Those stupid idiots who think they are still well protected by the narco-politics were either arrested or dead. But most of those got killed were believed to be killed by those on top to avoid giving very important information.

Its a good sign that crime rate decrease in such a short period of time. I don't know why some politicians want to oust him in his throne.
No one does this for a long time and for me it is a great achievement of the president.
