Hi there.

I was wondering how far a user needs to go to get banned on this forum.

I've found a guy who is spamming/multithreading his threads over multiple boards with multiple accounts, without any oppugnance.
The worst part is that he is mostly advertising scams, ponzis where it is clear he will shut the door whenever he gets one decent investor, and so called "Gambling script that uses a bug in bitsler to get you infinite amounts of money"

I really wonder what the limit is, and if this is something that should be allowed, as i can't see any official thread of the rules of this forum, with a quick google search i found this one, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0, although it looks highly outdated to me. If there is any newer thread, please let me know.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

In reference to spamming, I believe it's kind of discretionary. I believe there is a system of increasing ban lengths but I think a permanent ban can be given out immediately in some cases.
In reference to the "gambling script", it depends. If it's just a scam that's not bannable. If it's malware that is bannable.

Dissertation was about threat modelling on distributed ledgers.

Anyone can have as many accounts as they wish, as long as it does not get you in conflict with other rules. E.g. talking to yourself would be considered spam, same as having multiple very similar or identical sales threads.

The worst part is that he is mostly advertising scams, ponzis where it is clear he will shut the door whenever he gets one decent investor, and so called "Gambling script that uses a bug in bitsler to get you infinite amounts of money"

Scams are not handled by moderation but by the community. If you think the user in question is scamming, open a thread in the scam accusation section.

Creating multiple accounts and throw away shelled ones is consider ban evasion and should be dealt with by administrators accordingly

-Creating multiple accounts doesn't get you banned unless
-Any one of them is banned for whatever reasons
-While on a temp-ban, you continue to post from alt accounts
-Throwaway shills doesn't get anyone banned unless they break one of the forum's regular ban rules.

Doing any kind of activity that is against the forum policies and making posts that are not relevant to the topics.Sometimes you get a temporary ban,but the bigger issue is if you get a permanent one, then you can really do almost nothing about it,I think one or two people on the forum can unban you but it would be unlikely. So it's better to not get banned in the first place
