There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Even if it's from bitcoin transactions (which it is), it's still impressive for such a small company.

Like the article says, a certain other billion-dollar startup company took over a year to achieve such volume.

Well apparently they can't handle the volume.  I have had 2k pending for 3 days and my account took that long to confirm.

Pushed by Spots, GRID, and social connections, we've passed $1M a week in transactions.

Jerks don't give credit where credit is due. Right, the GRID service and SPOTS are responsible for that  Roll Eyes

What bunch of ungrateful little nerds these people are..... they should thank us and become a major supporter of btc for our contribution to put them on the map. At the very least give recognition where it is due.

It's funny becasue one day soon enough we won't need the hassle of dwolla and will find more direct routes.

They are only useful for the short-medium term.
