Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Well, $1 is over optimistic. I will be glad, if dogecoin can reach $0.10/coin in December 2017 What a severe joke it to be. I am into the dogecoin from a way too long and both Dogecoin and ripple always seems to be rise their price but they not. ripple and dogecoin are on the same price where are from last year and just rises a little bit and just fluctuate between the same price tag. Always seems to be that the time for them to rise price but they no i think there are many better coin to invest better than them. |

Far from expectations if doge grows up to $1. Although, still 1 month to show strength, but this is very heavy thing. Doge for this time isn't a reliable altcoin to achieve maximum profit. |

It will require a big jump and lots of support in the community to reach 1 usd
it also needs to prove other things and show more projects for the future
currently the price wont reach that high even half will be very difficult during this stage
specially when bitcoin now is shattering all the records, i think we could wait a long
year for this coin or maybe not just my opinion

This $1 was probably a joke. There are too many coins and not much use of this coin. Yes you can use it for payment but this is not enough to reach $1 with unlimited supply.
Correct this is only hopes for holder that some day it will be worth 1 dollar but this is very hard if somehow comes to 100 satoshi many will be pleased but even this price is unreal for DOGE at the moment. |

Is it too late to point out the obvious in this thread? If Dogecoin were to reach $1, it would have to be #1 on the coin market cap. Surpassing even BTC.  I don't feel like I should have to say this -- but Dogecoin will never reach $1. At least not until Crypto is the mainstream worldwide currency of choice -- even then Dogecoin will probably be worth 2 cents or less. |

Doge will never reach $1, it will probably never reach $0.01 and if it does it will only be because of a pump and dump, there are just too many of the coin in circulation for it to ever have a substantial price.
