I'm just testing the new TX, but I cannot seem to get connected to the main network, blocks are propagating too slow.
IMHO not safe for mining yet.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Everyone calm the fdown , there been issues and their being taken care off. Its been 3 hours since the network went live 4 blocks have been mined !
So don't spread bullshit.
Difficult will take a while to re targeted.

Welp back to mining Zcash. I'll wait until they compile a windows wallet (super unprofessional nowadays to launch a coin with solely linux compiling), fix the bugs and price stabilizes on bittrex.  |

I'm not sure if I'm reading correctly but seems ZEN vs ZCL hashrate is like 87:2,
Is this possible to jump with so much hashpower?
Also according to suprnova, next block should be found in 3 hours and 20 mins, then difficulty fall from 112K to 600 ?
Anyone help me understand this?

The last info I was able to glean from Slack/Telegram is the devops team is working on resolving another error they found when trying to bring up the live-net related to the replay attack fixes they put in to appease Bittrex and avoid a DAOesque disaster.
Timeline sounds like the chain should be live anytime within the next 24-36 hours for mining, but right now any miners showing successful blocks will likely be made invalid when the fix is put in.
As far as Bittrex, I've heard, but not verified that they will have trading live within 36 hours of the genesis block being propagated and the chain going live successfully.

Thanks OC, would you recommend leaving my miner pointed at supr overnight or is this likely to make me rage in the morning? Also could someone link me to a block explorer for Zen? I can't seem to find one. Another thing that should be provided at launch. |

I'm unsure.. as said before, the pool is now finding blocks as I've hacked something together but the coins is still broken.. usually invalid blocks shouldn't be accepted by the local daemon Suprnova is now finding blocks, i've hacked together something that it works.

Question: I had a private key (in Zclassic using Eleos wallet) that held 30 ZCL from block 108,000 to 114,000. At around block 114,000, I sent the 30 ZCL to someone else. Should that private key, when imported into zen-cli using importprivkey, have a balance of 30 ZEN since the snapshot was taken of ZClassic at block 110,000? Or am I missing something here? EDIT (I'm a noob): Figured out why; I was expecting ./zend would rename its block indices so that block 110,000 would be known as block 0 in the Zen chain. Gah, it's actually using the same indexing as ZClassic, so the "first" non-ZCL block of Zen will be notated as 110,001, so I won't see my balance for 10 minutes or so until it syncs back up to that height. Noob mistake, sorry! |
