Is there a way for someone like me with next no none computer-abilities to set up a node?

I hope there´s an easy tutorial soon. That rassberrypie  node idea sounded great but might take some time until it´s easy to set up.

So there´s about 1,4 million Zen around, but many of them are probably in zclassics wallets that owners are unaware of + they will be locked in nodes.
The available supply will be smaller because of this.
Although mining is creating quite a bit new Zen at the moment as were on block 110814 so 814 times 12,5
equals to just over 10´000 Zens.

Such height price jumps are not uncommon for an illiquid exchange like TradeSatoshi. Just look at the sell and buy side of the exchange. There are 3.5 BTC on the buy side and 274 ZenCash coins on the sales side. And the spread is currently at 0.00247 BTC. That's why we urgently need a bigger exchange with more liquidity.

Nice!! Zen trading at 21.80 on tradesatoshi! according to Coin market cap. Shocked
That quickly changed to 16.20 after I shared the link with a friend lol...

Apparently Bittrex is busy dealing with all the ETH mess, this message has been relayed on the Slack channel:

Quote from: Bittrex
"We apologize everyone.  A number of launches that people are waiting on such as, (ZEN, LGD, and other new tokens) are still on our radar but taking a back seat with the chaos on ETH the last few days.  We're expecting things to settle down so we can get back to launching new tokens."

What issues with ETH do they mean? Unfortunately, I have not noticed any issues with ETH over the last days. I own some ETH, so I am now somehow worried. Is there somewhere more information?

I think it related to the BAT token sale? Not 100% familiar with the solution but try looking up BAT and see what the fuss is all about.

I've tried compiling this in Debian 8.8.0, Ubuntu 16.04 and 17.04 - both Desktop and Server editions, to no avail.

I followed the guide with all the dependencies and all.
After almost giving up, I found this list of dependencies:

Code:
build-essential pkg-config libc6-dev m4 g++-multilib autoconf libtool ncurses-dev unzip git python zlib1g-dev wget bsdmainutils automake mingw-w64
which had mingw-w64. I also found
Code:
python-zmq
but I can't remember now if I installed it or not... worth a try.

Also, you might want to have at least 1.5GiB of swap space for the compilation process.

Now I have a wallet up and running, and am in the process of compiling the ZClassic one in order to get the blockchain downloaded, transfer it to ZenCash and successfully sync it.

Hope this helps!

Good catch! Mint probably has some libraries already installed that are not in Debian or Ubuntu. For me it always worked from a fresh Mint Cinnamon 18.1 install.

@tPTerFSe2yR818i: try installing those packages and if it doesn't work, you can pm me the pastebin of the errors. I don't have any ZClassic nodes but with their stable network it should sync without problems I imagine.

Thank you very much Pustul!,
I am going to follow this instrucctions.
I am going to comment when I finish to setup all.

Was anyone able to get ZEN from an old ZCL wallet yet? Copying wallet.dat from eleos didn't work for me, neither did dumpprivkey / importprivkey to zen-cli.

Yes, I didn't have any issue, but I didn't copy my wallet.dat from Eleos, but from the Zclassic GUI wallet instead.  Should be the same process though.

It's working fine at the moment but sometimes my pc reboots for some reason. I'm not very experienced. What could be the reason for this reboot? I'm mining with one Nvidia GTX 760.

Sounds like a power or driver issue. How does the card hold up during a benchmark test?

As I have understood it the Eth issue is just volume and super high transaction fees (called gas on Eth network.) As it catches up to bitcoin it seems to have the same exact problem. It is cool that Bittrex at least explained what is going on. They are my favorite exchange. They seem to do the least shady shit and communicate with users the best. They also tend to have all the coins that are worth a shit and not a lot of shitcoins. The only thing that sucks is I think zen is going to hit the market pretty close to when MGO does. I should hodl both anyway, I can't complain I suppose, lol. Go Zen!

Right ... how has suprnova been holding up for the past 12h? I can see the pool's hashrate has skyrocketed. Last 20 blocks are reported fine. How about payments?

@ocminer - many thanks for your efforts! Would you consider 0% fee for a while given how many of us have lost payments on suprnova last night? Just a thought.

Is there a Windows version of Zen (Zend) like there is with ZCL?  If not,  can Zcashd and Zend run on the same Ubuntu machine (by using different ports)?
