Has anyone here ever done this? I can't find the option when I try to book a hotel on expedia.com
It is mentioned on the website that it should be possible to pay using Bitcoin.

All I'm seeing is this:

Is this something that's only available in certain countries? I'm from Belgium and expedia.be doesn't even mention Bitcoin as one of the payment methods.

I'll guess that it's US only like many other things.

Also it looks like Expedia accepts Bitcoin via Coinbase and Coinbase now makes merchants control their own private keys I think.

Even if they did accept BTC it's likely they'll abandon it because of that.

Aww dang that definitely sucks Sad I guess there isn't an equivalent in Europe to book travel accommodation with Bitcoin, right?
Especially looking to spend some of my Bitcoins on hotels and if possible also plane tickets.

Not only expedia bro. Next to this you can find the way to make the payment for the various day today usage sites with the bitcoin payment. Next best example for this is Microsoft store bro.
When you go to buy the windows license key or the buy the any software you can find the option to make the payment in BTC according to the current price. Then you can use the purse wallet to access with bitcoin on Amazon regular purchases bro.

They removed the option 2 or 3 days ago. Maybe temporary for the reason mentioned by @gentlemand but I have not read anything about this change. I came across some sites accepting Bitcoin long ago but their site doesn't look trustworthy with a design from the year 1990.

You could try this - https://giftoff.com/gift-cards?filters%5Bsort%5D=alpha&filters%5Bcategory%5D=15&filters%5Bcountry%5D=241&page=1&showAll=true

Which has always been reliable for me, but I don't know what the deal is if you're not in the UK. Lastminute and Inspire will be the most comprehensive ones.

For flights you have more options like Destinia and a few others but I've never used any of them and often they miss out the budget carriers so you can pay insanely more for the same flight for the honour of it being in BTC.

That would have been super useful if they'd support Belgium. I might try buying a small value gift-card and set my country on Netherlands to see if it works.
Really sucks that they support The Netherlands but not Belgium Tongue

I'll see if I can find some other websites for gift cards, maybe they have one for Booking.com or something similar.
