I started buying bitcoin at 650 dollars last year. It's been a great ride so far. Now I am trying to party with the alts to make my crypto ride even better. 

Saving bitcoin for long time will benefit more but I think it depends on individual approach to make big profits. One can easily make more profits by through watch of the market and take right decision at the right time while other will wait for long time for price boost. For me it’s a good practice to watch the market and take appropriate decision and the right time.

I agree watching the market is mandatory if we want to play with the fluctuation. But if we are in for a long term, looking at it from time to time is enough.  We are not selling our BTC any time soon so it would be a waste of time looking at the market movement every minutes.  Aside from that long time holder is not affected by day to day fluctuation.

As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, and in the case of bitcoin, great profits come to those who patiently hold their coins. Those who prefer to hold their bitcoins for long term are going to be rewarded handsomely. They can always trade a small portion so as not to get “bored” and just play with it and see if it gives additional profit while majority of their holdings is safely stashed in their cold wallets.

I don't agree with what you have said. Yes right now Bitcoin is achieving all time highs but we also need to exercise our caution because we are entering into a new price territory which means big players selling their position could happen anytime soon. This can be a scary position to buy new Bitcoin because right now we are on a uptrend.

It's gone up 5x in the past year. That's already enough reason to save long-term.

Yes of course, imagine if we bought 100 bitcoin last year (when the price still $275), then we will make a profit of about $1200/btc. bitcoin is a profitable investment for short and long time.

In the last few months, we saw the benefit to buy and hold BTC. We have to keep in mind that its supply is limited. Therefore, if more people want to have BTC, more it will worth. Just watch the road ahead and try to identify the best moment to let it go (a project that you want to invest the money, a vacation trip, etc.)

As we are going close to maximum supply of bitcoin which is 21 million, expect that bitcoin supply will decrease and the demand will increase as they are inversely proportional. Also, bitcoin is a lot easier to use instead of banks since it doesn't need too much identity information and rules. Also, no one can stop bitcoin.

You can profit like amazing. Maybe something like gold and diamonds can't do for you. I have earned lots of money by doing this. I already saved lots of bitcoins (well bits) and when I found the current price of bitcoins against my local currency it's like more than what I have saved before. Exactly. Many people argue what is the fun of holding Bitcoin for long, better buy low, sell higher and move ahead with profits. But simple reply to them is to ask those who are holding back from 2011 !! For few bucks profits, many missed the chance of becoming millionaire. Thus, holding bitcoin in wallets for long time can bring unexpected capital gains to a person.
