The bitcoins value before last 2012 is $30 and if you compare how much is the gap between the value today the you will notice that it massively increase and there are a lot of predictions coming from professional traders that bitcoins will reach $10 dollars so you better hold longer till it reach that value. |

I agree with you. someone will benefit a lot just by saving bitcoin only. and prices are still going to increase for several months and even years ahead. it makes so much sense to me |

Whoever saving Bitcoin in the last 5 years will be rich for now. When the price's Bitcoin continue to reach to the top and there is no sign of decreasing.

Yes !! It is a lot of benefits for saving a bitcoin for a long time, specially for those who started in the year 2012, they have a lot of money now, because the bitcoin price is huge now, the value of one bitcoin is raise to 7k$+ imagine if you have a lot of bitcoin with your saving you now one of the millionaire in the world. indeed someone who from the past still keep bitcoin till now become a billionaire world, not only when 2012 but in 2009 bitcoin like is not considered and now bitcoin be coveted everyone |

Actualy it is simple, people hold their Bitcoins to get profit from fluctuation of price. We all know that price of Bitcoin has been going up for quite some time now. It payed of to people who saved their Bitcoins from before this year. But I guess that holding and earning money won't be possible forever. One day price will be steady, and in that moment Bitcoin will trully become currency and not investment.

They treat it as a long term investment because of the profit that they can get for btc for the long period and for any future hardfork that may come, definitely your btc can be x2 upon the hardfork event. I think it is a wise decision. |

The people who invested in bitcoin and went for the long hold made a lot of money and in the past one year the rally is so huge that anyone who invested in it at any given moment was reaping a huge profit in a very short period of time and till this day the rally continues,which scares me as i fear that there would be a big crash coming,but it is still moving stronger and i will keep on holding for some more time,until i decide what to do with my coins.

Yes, I think you could benefit in bitcoin if you save it in your wallet for along time because the rate of bitcoin is increasing and the bitcoin that people save in their wallet will have the same rate as the bitcoin nowadays. So for example, you stored 5 BTC in your wallet then probably you will have $36902. It's quite big already right? |

People stored bitcoins in their wallet for a long time because they want the price go high and when its go high they can convert it to their own currency and withdraw them afterwards. Saving bitcoins is like investing , the more you save the more profit you will have in the future , because of the value of bitcoin that is not stable , sometimes the price go low , and eventually go high.

We can simply ask the people who believed in bitcoin since day one. Back in 2009 I think it was only worth around $27 - $30. Who would have thought it would reach $5K of value today? We can simply apply the same concept. People hold on to their bitcoin with the hopes of getting a higher value in the future. |

bitcoin is like a good investment seriously...the more you save it the greater value will it gets.just like other gold,silver oil.bitcoin is already stable in the market so its becoming more and more profitable.i started bitcoin since 2013 and saw it frm hundreds became thousand dollars.so it is really a good a choice to keep.those who stored 1btc since then got a lot profit already by now. |

In my opinion, even though bitcoin price fluctuate a lot (up and down), bitcoin value increases quite a lots in longer term. People may just want to hold it for long term value appreciation.

But saving is not risky than investing it. It is very safe when you simply hold it or save it in your wallet, unlike when you invest it, it is too risky and there is a high chance of losing your money. Anyway, holding bitcoin will definitely give you huge profit when you reached your target price. However, few people were holding it for a long time. Most of the time, they just hold it in a short period of time. It maybe because they need money or they're just impatient and can't wait for another years. |

But still no blame at all if you already dispose your bitcoin before this since no one expects that bitcoin value will reach too high, certainly that is the benefits of holding it on a long time for the value on before and after is to much big difference. |
