The API is still responding, at least for the ticker_fast method, but it's not trading. Can't they at least implement something that would allow users with a valid session/cookie to get through DDoS shielding ?

g0x archived 30 minutes lag already and nobody cares?

I'm pretty annoyed.  What other exchanges have a reasonable API, security, and are unlikely to have their bank accounts squashed?

BTC-e. Everyone should go there I just can't bring myself to use goxxxxx

I like sending coins there and trading there. When I do (rarely) cash some out I send my BTC elsewhere and cash out with other methods.

OKPay is the best way but then you are still doing a bank xfer to OKpay first.  It truly is a pain and I wholeheartly expect the BTC-e boys (read gangsters) to either be seriously hacked soon or up and leave with everyone's coins.  I hope I am wrong there.  Still hoping kraken.com is half as good as it looks.

Gox is killing BTC's already tarnished rep.  Unacceptable for the "The exchange that handles 80% of the trade"!  I don't trade there because I think the interface sucks balls.  But I ain't reel brite anyways.

They're using nginx/1.3.11 which is unstable dev version. Stable version is 1.2.8
Unless they manually edited 502 error pages to show disinfo to throw off hackers

what do you mean 'looking'

And I thought Gox was upgrading their trading platform after the large lag a month or so ago

They upgraded their trades per second from 19 to 30 or something.

are they purposely limiting it?
