Hello everyone,
I've finally managed to get the wallet working.

In order to complete the sync, you have to use the newest version (2.1.2.0) from Github (https://github.com/cryptofun/honey/releases - Win or quite easy compile for Linux - tried both) and download the mentioned blockchain archive couple of pages before (it stops on block 2 without the download). It took about an hour to complete sync and now it works. You have to use the newest version, otherwise the sync will fail on ORPHAN BLOCK.

TL;DR: In order to save everyone time, here is an up-to-date blockchain archive from 2018-02-28: https://ulozto.net/!BZVVWRxGqrhs/honey-blockchain-20180228-zip
Just download it, put it to your Honey data folder (back up your wallet file!) & run the app.

How do you difficulty ?? it's my fault .. yesterday, advised the administrator of a single farm honey. he took connected 200 machines .. let's hope this starts to grow the price .. well, or at least we'll conduct an experiment.

Is it just me or has the network weight gone up a lot in recent weeks? I have noticed a drop off in stakes I earn daily. I think more and more people are now staking this great coin which is good for the network as it helps support it and make it stronger. I guess I'll have to add more coins to build up my own staking weight.

I have seen many of us struggling with Honey Blockchain errors and “Wallet out of sync” issues. I got my copy of the blockchain from honey-wallet-setup-guide-windows on coinguides, and a good Samaritan (hats off to you Gumcz) uploaded a compressed copy of the blockchain. But I’m wondering what it would take to formalize a compressed distribution on Github in the  (https://github.com/cryptofun/honey/releases) directory.

If a “formal” and (ideally) regularly updated blockchain file (honeychain.zip or honeychain.tar.gz) was available – everyone having an issue could download a copy and quickly sync their wallet.

Once a bootstrap file was available, we could then add a guide similar to the following:

How to Bootstrap the Honey Blockchain
This guide will help you install a recent version of the Honey blockchain. This will significantly speed up the task of getting the blockchain synced up so you can use your wallet.

Windows:
1) Make sure Honey.exe is not running
2) Open File Explorer and Type %APPDATA%\Honey and hit enter. Your file explorer window will open to your Honey Directory

Note: if the folder doesn't exist, just go to %APPDATA% instead and create the Honey folder

3) Delete the following if they exist:
•   Database folder
•   Txleveldb folder
•   blk0001.dat file

4) Download the zip file with the most recent date or largest block number here: https://github.com/cryptofun/honey/releases/blockchain
5) Extract the new downloaded file to the %APPDATA%\Honey folder
6) Start Honey.exe like you normally do
7) Let the wallet synchronize any recent transactions

Mac:
1) Make sure the Honey wallet is not running.

3) Use this shortcut "Command+Shift+G" to bring up 'Go to Folder': <honey data location>
4) Delete the following if they exist:

6) Extract the new downloaded file to the ~/.Honey/ folder
7) Start the Honey wallet like you normally do.

Yes the network weight has been growing weekly as more people are starting to find out about this hidden gem. This is one of the best staking coins out there with a fixed rate of 2 honey per stake so its a lot like BeanCash which is 1k coins per stake. Yes it would be nice to see honey on more exchanges but I think for now the dev team are working on new developments and a new website. Once all is done, then we can try for more exchanges.

There's a calculator at Cryptohub's pool-page (https://cryptohub.online/pools/) -- in the Honey-portion of it -- providing estimates based on the network's current difficulty and the average over the past 24 hours.

However, the net hash has increased significantly in the last few days... the following individual seems to have referred a farm to this chain and the resulting monster-hash ( https://coffeepool.org/site/miners ) appears to have been dominating the mining ever since.  You could choose to be a hero and enter pitched-battle with the farm by mining at Cryptohub or take the leavings you might gather alongside the farm at Coffeepool.

Yes I think that was one of the main drives to the difficulty going up. Not only with the PoW side of it but also with the PoS side as for a while there the network weight was well over 200k compared to it being around 120k which it is now back to which was the average. I wonder if work has been started on the new website as I believe this is one of the most important things we need and gives us something to promote when promoting Honey.
