When you would send bitcoins and it would arrive within 30 minutes, also you would get excited when a new alt coin was released to see if you would be one of the first to get a whole bunch of them
The days when you got excited to read about new bitcoin news, now it's like an anxiety attack hearing all this chaos
The days when all we cared about was finding out who satoshi nakamoto is/was
And finally the days when we all got screwed over by Josh Garza or BFL
Bring back the good old days

Time flows and change. We can't accept the fact that these " gold old days " has been replaced by conflicts, guilts, greed and competition. Crabmentality as it's best on both side of the coin. But these "good old days" is the reason why BTC survive this far. Yup, dark ages may came but one of the reason why we still push true is we want to feel and once again bring back these GOOD OLD DAYS.😊

In my opinion the hype over bitcoin is dead, when I started using bitcoins in 2014 there were only a handful of faucets and at that time I was really eager to collect satoshis, now there are hundreds and hundreds of faucets. The point is couple of years ago or more than that bitcoins were collected as a hobby, now the hobby point of view is gone, more as an investment, means of scamming, illegal activities so yeah the good old days is dead and not going to return.

My transaction still get confirmed within 30 mins but i just need to give more fees than what I used to, and that was gonna happen with time so here it is. I agree with the news part, nowadays all the news there is "bad news".  I think people still care of who Satoshi is, as I still see some or other topic discussing this, I personally never really did care much since the start. Bitcoin is still good, maybe its past was better, or maybe the future will be better.

The mentality of the bitcoin community is changing compared to the old days. Now it's going far from the ideology from the creation of bitcoin. Is it good or bad, i don't know. But even the type of people involved in bitcoin are not the same and most don't even know or understand why bitcoin was  created. maybe  it's like the darwin theory lol

We need to think that in the past the users were quite low same as that the complications were very low and confirmations too happens in a short time, but now we have grown in value, usage and several other prospects. This increases the complications and because of this the confirmation delay happens at times when larger of transaction get stuck into the network.

You got a point with saying "good old days of Bitcoin", however we did know the fact that Bitcoin was going to get that big one day and even bigger than we imagine now. Even Satoshi himself mentioned that blocksize will need to be adjusted one day. As soon as bitcoin hardfork discussion is over and we solve the "fee" and "confirmation time" problems, It will all be good again. Only then Bitcoin can grow faster than ever.

If you want, I have some old BFL equipment.  If you send me 65 bitcoins, I promise I'll mail them to you within 6 months.

It is all about perspective and how you see BTC nowadays. But I agree with you that the fun that we have before is fleeting away. Right now, I must say that having bitcoin is a lucrative hobby because of the high transaction fees that we need to pay just to get it confirmed within the hour. Big corporations saw the potential profit that they can make out of BTC and the outcome is that they positioned themselves in the community. Altcoins are turning scams left and right. The good old days of BTC is indeed fleeting away.
Yes perspective of different people may be different with each other through bitcoin. Because bitcoin availability and price increase may depend on the country you lived on. Here in my country the good days of bitcoin is not old because bitcoin here is upgrading and developing. A developing country may serve as a good for bitcoin through the power of internet for its transaction to be accepted by people who uses web on a daily life basis. And there will be no problem if you will used a proper wallet like coin.ph where you can pay bills , buy load or even convert bitcoin.

Those days are gone. Whitie has moved on. No one in murrica gives a shit about Bitcoin anymore because it's no longer edgy, trendy, cool. Drug dealers and college kids can't buy their dope on Silk Road anymore. That's over, forget about it.

Today we have Asia manipulation coin. It's much better than drug coin. There's a lot more asians in China and Japan than there are drug addicts in the west. Those of us holding bitcoins are much better off now than in the past because asians are driving the price up fast. As long as the asians aren't scared away from Bitcoin by their government, the con artist manipulators trying to control Bitcoin, or get bored with it we stand to make an embarrassing amount of money quick. Let the little pussy below cry himself to sleep and wet the bed because:

We are the 1%

Those moment when bitcoin transactions took 30 minutes can still happen, just a pay a bigger fee. I do understand you but people and bitcoin had improved since then, the transactions delay is an issue that would come sooner or later, due to popularity of bitcoin that for sure has raised a lot, and nowadays there is a big ammount of transactions unlike in the old days..... not missing josh garza... those scammer....
