Move from Coinotron. They have over 51% of the net hashrate.

For the past couple days Coinotron has had over 51% of the Vertcoin network hashrate. We have found out that this is due to nicehash renters using Coinotron as their go to pool to mine to. So, if you are mining from nicehash or just mining on Coinotron please consider using a different pool until they are under 51% of the network hashrate. We would suggest setting up your own p2pool(super easy), but we have listed alternatives below.
Alternative pools:

p2pools network 1 pools (100mh/s and up):

http://scanner1.alwayshashing.com/

p2pool network 2 pools( under 100mh/s):

http://scanner2.alwayshashing.com/

Traditional pools:

http://give-me-coins.com/vertcoin-pool

https://vertcoin.miningpoolhub.com/

https://www.zpool.ca/

Setup your own p2pool (no fees, best payout, easy to do):

Setup your own p2pool:

network 2 video (100 mh/s and under miners) video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE9kGh-gGnI

Its not a joke, distribute your hash please, its health for vertcoin Smiley

Interesting dynamics on Vertcoin, IMO very similar to when Litecoin was around 4$ (end of last March)...wait and see  Grin

Seems as though about 92% of the network disagrees with you. https://vtconline.org/sf.html

But thanks for your worthwhile feedback  Wink

because people dont know how to setup a p2pool or where to find other p2pools address. Go ask the devs of this coin, they will tell you p2pools give you the most for your cards.
Even better, mine for 24 hours on your pool then do the same on your own p2pool Wink

Great idea the one click miner, but  it would be nice if (it really works ok)  it'll get  a more attractive  user interface (instance like jaxx pocket book ).

you must be doeing something wrong because the OCM does work pretty well.
Try the Vertcoin Discord channel if you need help with the app.

I am kicking myself for not stepping into VTC when a buddy told me about this a month ago. Seems like a great coin. Interested to see where it goes. Worried to purchase around the present pump motor..
VTC recent strong performance, more and more people are bullish about his prospects for development and selection of a large number of buyers, after all, it has been more than three years, as development continues, it will be more attention in the field of blockchain.

In my view, VTC is at this stage one of the greatest coins . Bitcoin now is enjoying the marketing effect (ETFs in BTC and similar). People sell theirs houses to buy Bitcoin but in reality nothing special about BTC vs VTC  . The time will show (and this is already taking place) that more and more people will seek alternatives to Bitcoin including investment funds will start to add alt-coins to theirs packages and this is where VTC is extremely well positioned . I'd says in the future VTC will settle in the top 20.

If I use a piece of software that has been obtained under the GNU GPL, am I allowed to modify the original code into a new program, then distribute and sell that new program commercially? (#GPLCommercially)
You are allowed to sell copies of the modified program commercially, but only under the terms of the GNU GPL. Thus, for instance, you must make the source code available to the users of the program as described in the GPL, and they must be allowed to redistribute and modify it as described in the GPL.

These requirements are the condition for including the GPL-covered code you received in a program of your own.

Hey Guys - Adding to my VTC position and after this last weekend mess with BCH, i'm even more in favor of anything truly decentralized
* The Roger & Jihan's antics this weekend just showed us BTC & BCH are not truly decentrailzed.
At one point exodus tried to charge me $39 to send $460 in BTC - i'm going almost entirely into LTC & VTC  a couple questions -
1) Any chance someone is working on the One Click Miner For Mac's ?
2) anything in the future to get VTC on Binance or Cryptopia ?

* Thanks in advance for your input / comments !

And why do you like cryptopia so much? The addition to this exchange will not change anything in the coin. Markets are not the main thing. The main work on the coin.

do not worry about it.
0 connections actually mean you are connected to the network.
it will be slow to update is all but once you are catched up it is really negligible difference
vtc transactions are really small only 20gb whole blockchain compared to btc's 150gb.

Not what I asked. 0-1 active connections and the wallet stops sync after 1 minute. After adding the node, I have no connections with the network. Please lay out here working file vertcoin.conf

PIVX Blockchain is <1 Gb.  PIVX can’t have a 51% attack.  Just saying.   I’m just really trying to understand why people like VTC over PIVX.
