Ok, I confess ignorance, and I don't see the answer to this anywhere:

With regards to VTC, what is the difference between the "electrum" wallet and the "regular" wallet?

Thanks for help!

Electrum wallets are basically "cloud" wallets except they use a deterministic password (usually 8 to 12 words) as a seed to store your coins. Makes it so its not dependent on you running a full node for VTC, though that can assist overall network health

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

not sure if I see why vert  is better i.e. ltc. Stealth addresses? Thats all?

no reason whatsoever... its been under 100 crypto for along time now... shitcoins like Dogecoin and ZClassic remain leagues ahead...
many exchanges have already delisted vtc due to inactivity.

That I think you are probably right. DOGE is an old one and nice one with that mickey mouse price, ZClassic is good clone, but nobody know how long will be able to be maintained. VERT? Looks not so bad, but I do nto see something so wow. LTC is big, some other players are big or very active

Not sure if anyone already posted but you can now trade VTC on the new and upcoming decentralized exchange, Cryptobridge. It is the safest exchange out there as the exchange do not have access to your wallet keys, only you have control of your coins! Would recommend withdrawing your coins to Cryptobridge from the centralized exchanges with all the recent security issues.

https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/market/BRIDGE.VTC_BRIDGE.BTC

They also pay you to trade there, 25% of the exchange profits go to market makers. Happy trading!

At present, the market value of the green coin is in front, and it is already a fairly mature currency. It was very popular at the time of its release, and the trading volume was very good at the moment.

Now VTC is in flat. It may very well be that it will fall if bitcoin also falls and grows if bitcoin grows up. I would now wait to buy this coin, now nothing is clear.

Circumstances may change over time and bitcoin price determination lies in this week, whether it can go up or down.

At least this will end all the rumor's of possibly being 'not legit'.

I have great hopes for Vertbase

The best is yet to come  Grin
This is exciting news, non too soon either, as mentioned further up I really don't think licensing will be too big of an issue, Vert has enough time under its belt and resources, thanks for the post

Few months ago, the ASIC Resistant feature was great, but now so many new algorithms may be better.
Now, it seems that everybody mines neoscrypt.
Is vertcoin still pertinent?
What do you think about?
Is Vertcoin is doomed to disappear or I missed a super feature?

Although VTC has been around a long time, I still feel that its safe to stay away from clone coins like these. In all these years VTC has been around, it barely has any real world use.

This is why I only stick with Bitcore (BTX).
BTX makes most coins look like a joke.
