I click on my private messages and nothing happens.

They are a little bit old ... but they're all still listed there ... and I have tried both browsers.

When you click on the message subject, it doesn't take you to the message, right?
But you can still scroll down and read the message.
I face the same issue too, but haven't been too bothered by it.

Ooh - i didnt think to scroll down off the entire list to find the message.  Because that wouldn't make much sense.  But I'll give it a try now thanks.

I think that Adblock Plus's EasyList has once again messed up the forum by incompetently trying to block forum ads. Disable ABP.
