You guys are scaring me, and I feel unconformable, I need to withdraw some of my balance in poloniex and I'm not sure in what coin should I withdraw, which coin does not need the "approval" and is almost instant or fast? Withdrawing in bitcoins can be instant or not?
Well, i made withdrawal recently from poloniex without any problems(bitcoin) so maybe you should try with bitcoin too? Or dogecoin.
Why do you hold your coins in exchange anyway?
Are you not afraid when someone else is holding your money?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

If you want to withdraw, I would suggest doge instead of btc as there are still some users reporting issues on btc withdrawal but I haven't heard any problem on doge. Other than that, doge has a faster confirmation

This thread was started in March..

I've not attempted withdrawal since end of May, last two were BTC.

Never had a problem with any withdrawals.

Don’t doubt that if you do have a problem you are probably going to have a wait, same as any other centralised service at the moment.

I'm not sure why you're all wishing poloniex to fail, do you want us to lose our money ?

By reading on here it seems many people are making dozens of tickets, it's no wonder they're having trouble answering them.

I know Polo has been around for a long time but all these problems are worrying. I would not trade there until all their issues get resolved.  Embarrassed

COMPLAIN ABOUT POLONIEX HERE: This will put the end to their questionable practices.
BBB website: https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started
If that does not help and IF there is actual fraud being committed...complain here: http://attorneygeneral.delaware.gov/fraud/
It could be also a good idea to report Poloniex to the Federal Trade Commission
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/media/video-0054-how-file-complaint

Spread this information to all forums you visit. If ENOUGH of us complain they will do something about it.

even more worrying is on another thread their is a guy saying he did ticket on 21 and they already answered him and solve his problem; if its true were in deep shit cause my tickets are 15 days old and not even an answer after stealing 1.83 bitcoin from my wallet so it means they take care of who they want to continue to operate but those who got their money stolen they dont take care, so they will fn disappear its a matter of time , im gonna put some funds together and open to donation , well put a bounty on this guy heads : TRISTAN D'AGOSTA the owner of poloniex and their are 2 or 3 address where they can be in us , so if i can have some help for finding him , i would appreciate , i also have the pitcures of this asshole for those interested message me

That is really sad to hear to loose a huge amount and not to hear from the support staff,i am sure they will rectify your issue but i am not sure how much time will it take for that to happen, they are having some issues for some time now ,their support staff are a bit odd as they wont reply to everyone but they usually settle things in a short period, hope you will get it sorted out soon.

It's only on BTC !

I have two transactions stuck on BTC since Friday. Just transfered ETH and it went through immediately. Convert all of your coins to ETH, get them out ASAP. This could end ugly!

LOL, what a retarded statement. ETH chain cost so much all the exchanges had to stop withdrawels yeah thats the way off an exchange. Actually that is unusually what ltc and doge are good for. Just a tip for those of you that didn't know what to use in those situations. Smiley

The point is to avoid using btc, the point is not to panic as it could be a glitch in their website.

choose whatever other coin you wish.

I'm testing my new vanity address. I've withdrawn 0.001BTC from Poloniex. The transaction has been broadcast in less than 5 minutes : https://blockchain.info/tx/b98ee602f7103eaea025a904d33f28a86835eb1b242093f296ae5552c008f899

If it's a scam it's an elaborate one.

I'm not denying any problem, but the situation just doesn't smell scam to me. I have a lot more than 0.001BTC on Poloniex so I'm not saying this from the comfort of a cold wallet.

Polo is getting a bad rap for many reasons, one is the laws they are conforming to which I think is why some peoples coins are taking so long to get released. But Idiots that don't check to see if a wallet is disabled because of blockchain issues (ETH has this all the time) or in BTC's terms the chain is horribly slow. Alot of the complaining is because they don't know how to check if their withdraw has been broadcast and only know if it's received. I don't think Polo will ever be a scam but it's massive growth with the soaring BTC price has also played a signifigant role in it's scaling.

People don't keep up on things and always yell scam if everything doesn't immediately work. Your in the beginnings of a completely new technology that is being used world wide and you think it should work like visa, that is moronic!

IOW, if you don't know what the fuck is going on then GTFO.

Ah ah, actually from my not so great experience I've encountered much more problems with VISA than with crypto. Now I keep three debit/credit cards (VISA, Mastercard and AMEX) specifically so at least one will work when I'm abroad. In my country having more than one card is pretty unusual...
