According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I hereby retract my statement about p2pool not scaling properly when the pool hash rate is > 300g/h. p2pool clearly had a good run not too long ago.
Then I rejoined.
So now I'm changing my statement.
p2pool doesn't scale properly when the pool hash rate is > 300g/h and I'm part of p2pool.
Sigh.

The latest update today from git master changed something to the p2p connections. My node gets far less incoming connections. See http://p2pool.bouton.name:9332/static/graphs.htmlNo adverse effect to report but if all nodes behaved like mine I guess there may be a problem.

See http://p2pool.bouton.name:9332/static/graphs.htmlNo adverse effect to report but if all nodes behaved like mine I guess there may be a problem. Connections are coming in slowly. Looking at the week graphs, previous node restarts were followed by a faster increase in incoming connections. I'm not sure if it's a fluke or if a recent change is designed to produce this results but as I said, no actual adverse effect to report.

How it is possible, that BTC nodes are in 98% on v5 and LTC nodes only 40%? Cmon! Compiled on win32 latest git (5.0-14-g42ef991), downloadable from my skydrive: http://sdrv.ms/NtmDt5

After 3 months solid - Back to bitminter (and fees) Now they will only solve 1 block every 2 days - (I tend to have that affect). If blocks increase - feel free to donate and I will stay away!

Do you admit that you holding all blocks you found? Well, I found 4 blocks in three months and got the little finder's fee for each - nice feature. I really like the idea of P2Pool, but got tired of lowering intensity (speed) in order to decrease stales and the like. I get 0.5 Gh/s more on the other pool (cranked at -I 13) No, I wouldn't know how to hold blocks. I just characteristically have bad L*ck Anyway, my P2Pool payout amount will dwindle to nothing in the next 18 hours, after which you can expect tons of cha-chings.
