it means your wallet has a lot of small inputs, and transaction of 1000 xlr becomes larger than block size,    firstly you should create a new address in your wallet and send there 2 * 500 xlr,  or 3 * 334 xlr ,   after that you will be able to send 1000 in one transaciton

Regarding the Solaris core wallet:

It seems difficult to get the private key. I have backed up my wallet on my computer, and I have an online back up service that is backing up many files on my computer, but I do not think that service will back up my Solaris wallet.

If my computer crashes, will I be able to restore my wallet so my coins appear?
