Updated Solaris Masternode Guide

If you do not know how to setup your own masternode and you need a guide, feel free to use this.
If you are having a problem with it,  you do not understand some of the content,  you are unable to do it or anything of the like, be specific about the problem.
Do not just leave a vague complaint which will not help me when i want to update the guide or help anyone who might want to write a better guide.
What i have outlined in the guide is exactly what i did to setup my first solaris masternode successfully.

i bought my VPS from Time4VPS

I will tell you after try to use it..

i tried and get a big Error: Invalid masternodeprivkey. Please see documenation.

im not linux specialist but ive configured others MN... the VPS masternode.conf and VPS solaris.conf lack of infomation.. i really dont know what input should a put there.. is it the same of the client? Why invalid masternode priv key??

Why dont you show the ouput of masternode genkey also? Even my window wallet is giving error of "invalid masternodeprivkey. See documentaion"

Ive just generated that key using "masternode genkey" why?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Wow, the price plummeted after significant pump recent weeks.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/solaris/
However, Solaris project is very promising with some interesting features, including Seasaw, InsntantX, privateSend, masternodes. I will follow the project for sure. I am in.

Yeah I expected the price to correct after that last rise up touching $2 a XLR, now its a question of how much will it correct? But regardless I plan to accumulate more XLR as it corrects down but if I had to guess I would say a $1 is the new floor for it. I could be wrong and it could continue to drop until ZeroSolaris is implemented; that should bring the attention back to it but thats only a guess. SO far the community vote is not looking too good for crypto-bridge add if I was their devs and I saw the community poll results I don't think I would move forward tbh.  Sad

The price dropped because for the past month those mining Solaris Xevan and/or Masternodes, have not had a good exchange to sell it on. When a coin has such a small market cap it doesn't take very many people dumping a months worth of coins gained to make the price drop significantly. I expect it will go up again before too long.

The main drive for drop now is BTC... thats why ALL markets are beeing slashed.

I expected it to correct anyways as we got closer to the swap out date for coinexchange tbh there is an ole skool sayin of buy on rumor sell on news. I believe that still holds very true in todays market but XLR is still an easy pick plan to join the signature campaign and work for a second MN easy money imo. But with all the praise aside we ready do need a better exchange  Cheesy Cheesy like I love coinexchange and all but we need multiple outlets if we are ever gonna get noticed amongst the wave of shitcoins out there.

I think you've missed my question.

What exact procedure of terminating nist5 network will be?
Someone should mine till the end. But how he will receive the coins from the pool after last block is mined and send those coins to swap address if the network will be shut down?

Hey Dev, just an idea to update the website with the XEVAN wallets and remove the old Nist5 ones.

Also, I know you're busy with new features for Solaris. Would love to have you around here as often as you can. Gave me a lot of confidence when I first started digging that you were so active. I know it'd be the same for people dropping in for the first time.

You can swap Nist5 Solaris till  6 December 00:00 UTC.
After midnight  6 Dec  you  be not  able to swap the unpaid miner rewards.
Its your choice to keep mining to support network even when you know that you might miss the swap.

Hey Dev, just an idea to update the website with the XEVAN wallets and remove the old Nist5 ones.

I will remove info about  Nist5 chain after 6 Dec.

Thank you for your support!

Ok. But it also means that if everyone leave nist5 earlier the network will stop before the last checkpoint.
For example if I send last coins to swap address on 05.12 23:50 - and noone mine - then what?
But the same time - while wallets are running than - POS should work and transaction will take place, or not?

Some miners may take that risk- if there will be less Solaris Nist5 miners reward will be higher.

Up to 6 December we will get 2,777 XLR from Solaris Nist5 chain and 2,880 XLR from Solaris Xevan chain (daily).
After 6 December will be available 2,880 XLR daily .

 Up to 07 April 2018 -  first 6 months Solaris  Xevan - will be available 518,400 XLR ( plus Nist 5 from swap  +/-   500,000 XLR )

month 7 - 43,198 XLR
month 8 - 41,039 XLR
month 9 - 38,879XLR
month 10 - 36,719 XLR
month 11 - 34,559 XLR
month 12 - 32,399 XLR
month 13- 30,239 XLR
month 14 - 32,399 XLR
 month 15 - 30,239 XLR
month 16 ( February 2019) - 10,799 XLR

then every month will be only 10,799 XLR

That mean in the first 10 years circulating supply will be about 2,500,000 XLR

Thanks for your support.

I think Solaris is actually holding up well in price compared to a lot of other coins out there. I think once the swap is fully complete that then the dev could start some marketing campaigns to help spread the word as still not many people out there know about Solaris. I do my best by promoting on Twitter and so far I have had a good response and brought in a few people already. I see the poll is 50/50 right now, I was hoping more people would be interested in using CryptoBridge as an exchange but I guess not.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

I think its holding up too. I agree with you.
By the way, what form of marketing would you suggest?
Concerning CryptoBridge, i think its simply because we are reluctant to change.
You are doing a great job on twitter. I wish we could all do same.

Maybe some paid marketing on Facebook and even CMC, some of those banners on CMC get hundreds of thousands impressions daily so that is a lot of eyes on Solaris, same goes for Facebook. Maybe even a promotion on YouTube where some bounties can be paid for creating YT videos about Solaris. I'm sure the community will have some more ideas as what I have stated is just a few that could help get the word out about Solaris.

Yeah true mate, not many like to change however having Solaris listed on CryptopBridge could really help the coin in the long term. The dev of that exchange is great and communicates regularly with me on Twitter. His team are working on making CryptoBridge as big as many of the other exchanges out there and I think now is the best time to get Solaris listed on there before it really starts to get attention. Like I said CryptoBridge is getting between 50 to 100 sign ups daily and soon that will be in the thousands signing up as they haven't even started any promotions yet.

I would be willing to make a video mentioning solaris, where to mine it, how to trade it.. ext. However, all my videos are in the gamer/streamer category. I would only talk about it and put links to things in the info section.
