CoinMarketCap has been updated :

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/solaris/#markets

Thank you for your support !

6x within 6 or so weeks. I assume nobody here is really complaining about the way Solaris is going Smiley

Yes Solaris is growing nicely and hopefully soon it will grow even bigger with more people buying and locking in a masternode which will make less Solaris on exchanges and in turn make the price go even higher. Now with around 41% of the circulating supply locked into masternodes there isn't much coins out there so it should make the price go up in the near future. Just think no many people even know about this coin so once more marketing is done this could explode overnight. There is so much potential here and now is a great time to get involved because it is still cheap to run a masternode compared to other masternode coins out there.

Theoretically you are correct but masternodes are only one piece of the puzzle. We need to create massive demand for XLR besides getting enough coins for a masternode. Then the price will shoot up!
More updating features will be released by developers soon. They are working hard and fighting with codes in their coding-caves.

I hope you are right about the coding-cave comment, I like the project though so i will continue to support and buy in the fact that a good chunk of the supply is still tied up in masternodes when its only producing approx. 2.37 coins a day says something about the potential of XLR.

I work on faucet update, it will launched 1 december, or maybe little early.

That's very good news I'm excited to see that faucets are always a great way to attract new people to the community!

I really like this project and this coin is currently much undervalued. Is there any chance of major updates kicking in December?

Also I feel that the website needs to be updated with addition of the following things:

1. Whitepaper- A decent whitepaper is kind of prerequisite
2. Roadmap- Everyone like to have a look on the road where they are going
3. Info about dev team- Would be fantastic and will draw much attention!
4. Official Discord channel- Discord is getting very popular and will help to create a much bigger community

I transferred some XLR to coinsmarkets. It's showing up there but still showing 0/6 confirmations even after several days. What's the issue?

Hey all, I made a Newbie friendly guide to setting up your Masternode on VPS. It also includes some details on how to run 2 or more masternodes from the same wallet.

Wow, great job viscolex, thank you. You made it pretty easy to understand and follow the steps needed.
I mean really, thanks for the work you've put in it.

Cheers!

I have one issue tho, in the local wallet when you type "masternode status" i get "This is not a masternode (code -1)" message, but the masternode is working. Its kinda confusing if you follow the tutorial.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm happy even one person finds it beneficial Smiley

Regarding the "masternode status" command, are you running 1 masternode or more than 1?

Well for me its the same thing if i run one masternode or two.
When i had one this command gave me the same error.
Now i have two and its still "This is not a masternode (code -1)" message when i type "masternode status".

When i start them it says successful for both. I can see them working with masternode list, its just this command gives me that error.

Yeah, I'm getting the same error now as well. Not sure what the problem is there, was working before. I'll remove it from the guide for the time being.

I think it's because you're running your MNs on VPS. With that command you're checking the status on your local wallet instead of your wallets in the VPS.
It's a small thing since it's not necessary for the start up and there are other ways to check to see that your MNs are enabled.

Theoretically you are correct but masternodes are only one piece of the puzzle. We need to create massive demand for XLR besides getting enough coins for a masternode. Then the price will shoot up!
These are some nice nice, and true words.
What I want to hear the most is the idea; the action to be executed.
What exactly has to be done to create that massive.
Join telegram or slack and share your ideas with Dev or maybe me.
Not vague ideas but rather specific ones

That's a really nice and well composed guide Andy.
It's impressive.  It'll sure help a lot of newbies and even some pros too.

Just one little recommendation though.
Like you said every MN requires a unique IP.
A unique IP can be bought once and its permanently yours unlike a VPS that has to be renewed every month.
Hence its a lot more economical to simply buy an additional IP for your second masternode than to buy another VPS.

Thank you for the kind words Schyter! I think we have covered a lot of ground with your and my guide for masternodes. You are absolutely correct that buying a secondary IP for the VPS is much better value, I will look into updating the guide with setting up the second MN on the same VPS instance.

More updating features will be released by developers soon. They are working hard and fighting with codes in their coding-caves.

After 6th Dec 2017, #Solaris (nist5 network) will no longer be supported.
The number of $XLR mined daily into circulating supply will drop  drastically from 5,657  to 2,888 #XLR  hence reducing inflation rate by 50%.
This will most probably drive the price higher.

Wow, it looks great. When the time of halving comes (of course you can check those points on the main thread of the announcement), the price might experience significant rise. Good luck.

Is it still as profitable to mine XLR as it is to mine Eth?  Can we still mine the old algo and convert to the new?
