I sent an email asking Bit-Z to consider adding XLR since we use the XEVAN algo so we'll see if they get back to me.  Roll Eyes  Wink They do about 58 million in daily volume according to coinmarketcap so they are not a small exchange!

I am trying to mine Xevan with an AMD r9 380 GPU I am using sgminer 5.5.-nicehash-1 on ubuntu.  It connects to pool and starts mining, but miner shows low hashrate and no shares are ever accepted, and pool shows 0 hashrate.

Here is screen from sgminer

sgminer 5.5.0-nicehash-1 - Started: [2017-11-24 19:04:52] - [0 days 00:07:54]

I appreciate any help I can get.

What is your .bat file? My guess is that your algorithm isn't set correctly, but I'm not sure how high of a Xevan hashrate to expect with a R9 380... with a Rx 480 you can get 1.7 Mh/s pretty easily.

Here is the command I run

./sgminer  -k xevan -o stratum+tcp://lycheebit.com:3739 -u SXfUEzYJ66yXQ1pmfYddAcfGFJnkprZDQT -p c=XLR_XEVAN

What version of video drivers do you use?

Change "-k xevan" to this: "--algorithm xevan-mod" - that should give you the correct algorithm instead of it trying to use a generic kernel.  We don't have any R9 380s, but for the Rx 400 series the 16.12.2 drivers worked well.

How does xevan work for this coin, i tried xevan and xevan-mod none of them work for me.
This is nist5 as far as i can gather and see. I only get Sgminer accepted shares with --kernel nist5

Such a confusing coin as some pools say scrypt nist5 and xevan , which one is it

If you a mining at yiimp.eu then you would be mining nist5. I do not know what other pools still have the nist5 algo. Coin is in the middle of a swap to the xevan algo (really we are near the end of nist5).

After reading the information on the solaris coin site, it does say that Nist5 "was" and Xevan is "now".

Okay now i can understand why the hell this was not working after all.

Digibyte kept the multi algorithm which confuses less people.

How the hell do you SOLO mine, now is it the same as the old comments in this post thread?

I dont understand why SOLO mining is a pain to get working.

something crapy is happening here:

Xevan algorithm looks good, it is ASIC-resistant one. Bitsend is good one, the first xevan-algorithmed coin. For now, there also have Vsync, Uralscoin, etc which has been build on Xevan. Will some bounty campaigns been opened for community, Solaris Dev?
Please, take care. it looks familiar one. You are putting your account at risk of banning. Please do not plagiarise in the extremely strict forum.
Please explain more about what you imply in the previous post. I am newbie, so I will listen carefully to every word you say. Thank you.

It looks like either a bot or someone using google translate to try to say something..... you can ignore anything you read on these forums that isn't in intelligible English. :p

To answer your question, there is already a signature campaign for Solaris, you can find some information on the first page of this thread.

Unless you have allot of GPUs to point at it solo mining would be a complete waste of time.... I'm not sure if it's even supported to begin with, but what version of sgminer are you using?

Hello Elder, long time,  how have you been ?
I am using the only SGminer version which supports Xevan , as far as i know - > https://github.com/LIMXTEC/Xevan-GPU-Miner/releases
I use this with Bitsend perfectly well , to mine solo, although it takes me days to get blocks, but i am just doing it to support the network and maybe im lucky i get 2 blocks not too far apart.

I would like to get Solaris going too, it does Support solo, as i can see may posts previous to this about .conf files and sgminer.

Guys, we can also send some very nice tweets to exchanges like liqui , kukoin, bittrex , hitbtc, binance,  and any other exchange you know on twitter.

Maybe we might get responses like this https://twitter.com/gan_chun/status/933174411229663232
And if we do get nice responses, let's reply nicely back.
It will give us attention and the coin may be considered for listing

We may also send emails like striker did and request for listing of Solaris with a nice description attached

I have been sending tweets to exchanges to list Solaris a month ago but never received any response so maybe if more and more people from the community can tweet to them maybe then they might take notice and see that there is a demand for Solaris to be listed on their exchanges. Just like the great response we are getting with the votes and comments to be listed on Altcoin.io, the community is doing a terrific job and I feel confident that they will list Solaris as there is a showing of strong support for the coin to be listed on there. I think we have one of the best communities in crypto now with so many people helping each other and sharing Solaris to as many people as they can. I have noticed a lot more activity on Twitter now with more people tweeting and promoting Solaris, so lets keep it going as this is just the start to bigger and better things to come for this great coin.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

Let's go to Koinbi, which is new, promising exchange, too. There is the link to the exchange
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2457397.0
Please send your request to the Koinbi Exchange, everyone. Send your request, show your confident belief and strong support for Solaris up, demonstrate that we are really strong community.
Let's make Solaris listed on more exchanges!

Yes lets do it! I've only heard great things about this exchange so I think Solaris getting listed on there will be great for the coin. The more exchanges Solaris is listed on the better as it creates more daily volume and more people will come to know about Solaris and how good of a coin it truly is.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.
