This is great Dabs.
You serve the community as escrow and you go further to serve the community by providing such relevant info. I like that Smiley .
The budget system is activated already however no one has made any proposal so far for masternodes to vote on. On the other hand we do not need any budget proposals now because we have premine funds with your reputable escrow for Solaris poject.
Also if a proposal is made, MN payouts will reduce slightly because as it stands now, budget system reward goes out to masternodes since there is no approved budget proposal.
Making a budget proposal requires 50 XLR

Thank you! Well, I have some XLR myself, so I'm excited to see how this all works. I've been curious with Dash, but I don't have $1 million dollars. (I'll have that in a couple of years if this all goes well, LOL.) Not counting what I'm hodling for y'all.

There needs to be a how-to-do-XLR-proposal guide or something, how to pay that 50 XLR .......... how to vote ... what happens if it's not approved (you probably lose the 50 XLR, so not too many are going to make nonsense proposals.)

My brother bought around 400 Solaris on last September and now it is really huge money for him. Unfortunately I did not invest to Soraris in the right moment and now it looks as too expensive for me.

Next time when you hear So... pay some attention.

Personally, i dont want to write a guide for it because i dont want to encourage it. I think its OK for those rewards to go to masternodes for now.
Because once a proposal is approved the budget system share of the block reward will be taken from masternode rewards and paid to the proposal address.
If anyone has a decent proposal that needs funding, they should share it with us and if it is feasible and worthwhile, I am sure SolarisDev and the rest of the team will support it and approve for appropriate release of funds to support them

Would it be possible to contact the various masternode comparison sites and have them update the MN payout reward to the current amount? I think they are using the 0.4 coin reward instead of the 0.667 coin reward still..... that change would not only be accurate it would also make Solaris rise up all of those lists as far as ROI and profitability goes.

I put a tweet out to StakesUnited which is a staking program that allows people to stake in pools. They recently started a IC masternode pool where people who want in must put in 50 IC coins and they will then share a piece of the masternode with the other pool participants. I know its always risky with this kind of thing but they so far have a good track record with the staking pools so I thought I would tweet to them and for them to think about adding Solaris so it gives people a chance to earn a piece of the masternode pie. I see many people saying its too expensive to own a masternode now so this could be a way where people can earn something.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

Really? I have seen them making a kind of massive campaign, like spamming with referral link, in so many topics of the forum. I don't know about them and of course I am a little bit busy recently, so don't have time to investigate about them. Take care!

Not sure if anyone already posted but you can now trade XLR on the new and upcoming decentralized exchange, Cryptobridge. It is the safest exchange out there as the exchange do not have access to your wallet keys, only you have control of your coins! Would recommend withdrawing your coins to Cryptobridge from the centralized exchanges with all the recent security issues.

https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/market/BRIDGE.XLR_BRIDGE.BTC

They also pay you to trade there, 25% of the exchange profits go to market makers. Happy trading!
Yeah it's excellent! I already use it and bought part of my XLR there.
And withdrawals are made faster than at coinexchange.
However I didn't exactly understand about 25% and how the market maker program works.
That is great, I agree it is an awesome exchange and I think it will be a top 10 exchange this year.

The way it works is once a limit order you placed gets filled, you're not only getting reimbursed for the trading fee, you actually receive 50% of the market taker's trading fee. At 0.20% fee per trading pair, you are actually earning 0.05% per filled order. The goal is to improve liquidity and spread on all our markets. Payouts are happening on a weekly basis.

I made sure that my .dat file was copied and in the file on my computer where I opened the new wallet.

I was surprised when the new wallet opened up and showed me the amount of coins that I have.

I thought i would have to upload the .dat file first into the new wallet for the coins to show.

But the new wallet opened up when I clicked it on and it must have found the .dat file automatically???

Is that how the newest wallet works?

Also, since I opened the new wallet, it has been synchronizing on the same block for about a half an hour and has not moved from that block.

It says: "Synchronizing with network."  "Two weeks behind. Scanning block 124757"

How do I make the wallet come to life so it moves from block to block towards progress?

Thank you,

G.P.

I agree, but please put the purchase of this coin on hold until I can confirm that the wallet is working.

You do not want to leave such a valuable coin on an exchange. You want to move it to a wallet that is made for it and is alive and working.

Watch this post to make sure it is answered before purchasing coin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1831629.msg28895718#msg28895718

Yes, that's how the update of the wallet works. All you update is the .exe file and launch it, it still reads the old database and wallet files. This is absolutely normal and happens with nearly every wallet out there.

But, the block being stuck is not normal. But it's not hard to fix either, take a look here to see if one of the solutions help: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DppR_YosSljL8mMrHTnkzcTLkiWQ357N64I1eeNmsWs/edit?usp=sharing

Also, there is no need to tell other users not to buy Solaris just because you are having a problem with your wallet that can be easily fixed.

This can be easily fixed by Geeks, but for a non-techie it can be difficult.

The instructions for someone who has a wallet that is not syncing with the blockchain are: Go to %appdata%/solaris/

I sure would like go go there, but I have no idea how to get there. Is this a file?  Where do I find it?

Thanks.

You will need to have hidden files enabled if you don't already --- https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/show-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-vista/

Then go to This PC > Local Disk C > Users > YourUserName > AppData

Follow the instructions in the guide from that point and you should be all set. Smiley

My wallet seems to be out of sync every time I restart my PC. It does sync sometimes, sometimes it does not.
What works when nothing else works is deleting all files except for the wallet.dat and the solaris.qt. The wallet always goes back to full sync after this.

The price seems very stable, especially on Kucoin, as some of us here and other traders trade in a very tight range. It is a good thing but it would not let the price go up much.
Any time it goes up a few smart traders or sometimes one big one sets a limit on that. Both ways actually. I see people using macros too. I set a sell price lower than the lowest available but the other trader price jumps down below mine in a split second... I have to delete the active order and place a new one in order to do same which takes a god minute sometimes with 2F authentication etc.
I saw a trader who wanted to buy 700+ XLR this morning. He set up a relatively low price and many traders sold at the price. Then maybe the same trader or someone else sold 500+, maybe more, I don't watch it all the time, at a relatively low price too. There is no way the price will significantly go up unless new traders interested in XLR and setting up masternodes come on board.
If I'm lucky I do a few trades a day, each one gives me about 10% profit so if I'm lucky I increase my portfolio up to 30% a day. I wish the range wasn't so tight so I could trade more often and make more coins.
Anyone else trading on Kucoin? I trade to ethereum and back to XLR quite successfully for the last two or three weeks.

Now should start the Phase of Proof of Work to increasing Masternode Rewards by 50% ... i am happy to own a Masternode Smiley

But im sorry for all People who sold XLR before this Phase startet ... i think that was not the best Decision Wink

And for all People who comes new to Solaris ... i will give you a tip ... dont sell XLR bevor April or May ... at this time all who wants earn XLR Rewards MUST buy XLR because POW Phase is over then ... and only POS and Masternodes are earning rewards.

Buy XLR now and hodl ... so you will have a very happy summer Wink
