Hey everyone!

Do you want to see how easy it will be to set-up cold-staking in the new Solaris Core wallet? Check out the video!

Process is simple:
1. Fund your wallet with XLR as normal.
2. Click into Cold-Staking tab.
3. Click "NEW SETUP".
4. Enter the amount you want to start staking, and a Hot Wallet address. The Hot Wallet address is a specially generated address from another wallet which will always be online and staking the coins. You can either set-up your own wallet on a VPS to do this, or use a third-party service wallet address.
5. Click "SEND"! That's it, the coins stay safe in your own wallet, while the "HOT WALLET" does all the staking work.

To withdraw the coins from Cold-Staking, you simple provide the address to send your cold-staking coins back and the amount you want to withdraw.

Using Cold-Staking the coins always stay in your own wallet. The HOT WALLET has no access to them and there is no way to get access to your funds even if the HOT WALLET gets hacked.

The new look Solaris wallet is coming along nicely, I am really liking how easy it will be to do cold staking. I really think this is the future when it comes to staking and its good that Solaris is taking the steps to get ahead of the pack.

The time has finally come, after months of work and preparation the new codebase is finally ready to go live! We have put a lot of effort to ensure a smooth transition to our net network. We have added new features to the Stratis codebase, like Cold-Staking graphical interface and simplified RPC interface that is 100% compatible with Bitcoin implementations, meaning Solaris will be just as easy to implement as Bitcoin is for third-party services. We have built our own Block Explorer completely from scratch that meets our requirements of what a good explorer should be; simple, fast and with a responsive modern design.

On top of this the Solariscoin.com website is getting a bit of a makeover and will officially move to a new domain: solarisplatform.com. The old website will redirect all users to the new one.

Swap Details

The Swap Service will go live on 31st of October. The swap will go on for just over 6 months and will finish on the 30th of April, 2020.

The swap service is built on Txbit infrastructure, and will be accessible through the Txbit website when it goes live. You will not require to register an account on Txbit to perform the swap.

The instructions on how to swap will go live on the new Solaris website, but generally it’s a very quick and simple 4 step process and takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes for you to swap over and receive the new XLR coins.

Txbit Automatic Swap

If your coins are in your Txbit, then you don’t have to do anything. They will be swapped over to the new ones automatically on the day the swap begins.

Solaris Cold-Staking UI

We are happy to finally complete the Cold-Staking User Interface for the new Solaris Core wallet, and we can safely say that the wait was well worth it. Cold-Staking is extremely easy to set-up, is essentially fool proof, and requires zero technical knowledge to set-up on your wallet.

For those who are not sure what Cold-Staking is, it allows you to safely store the coins in your wallet, while a separate always online Hot Wallet stakes the coins. The Hot Wallet has no access to your coins and you can withdraw them from your Cold Balance to any address at any time. You can either set-up an online hot wallet yourself on a private server, or use a third party service that provides a Hot Wallet to stake on, and we are happy to announce that trustaking.com will be providing such service for our users!

Why version 1? Because while it is feature complete, there are numerous improvements that we want to make in the long run, such as real time updates, improved metrics and statistics, and anything else you may suggest!

After months of actively tradeable and being listed on Coinmarketcap.com, daily total volume of txbit.io exchange has still been very low. I wish that the team somehow have more plans to increase the total liquidity on txbit.io.

I hope that amazing things with liquidity will be shown after the swap finished. Let's fill the exchange with 'fuel' and help it rocks.

Dont forget txbit.io is not that long on cmc and for my feeling it grows nicely.
And if You see what kind of coins they add that's impressive.
Lately every coin that's added is kind of business .
Offcourse IT Will take a little time . But i believe that will come allright . Because txbit.io is more then an exchange .

I congratulate you all for the great move of the Solaris project, and it is very good for the community to have a long-lasting swap which will end in April next year.

If you ask me what I want to see with Ann thread updates, I would say that the team should do regular updates for both the Solaris' ANN thread and the txbit.io's ANN thread. The exchange should be grown more in liquidity and regular updates for its ANN thread is necessary.

Do the Solaris team have plans to list XLR on other big exchanges, like Binance or Huobi?

When a months-lasting swap finish the project will officially jump into its new era, in which the growth of txbit.io exchange will play a very important role in the growth of the Solaris project and the price of XLR on market too.

I'm loving the new Solaris wallet right now, I'm currently just staking without cold staking right now and its working perfectly as I'm earning 3-5 stakes daily. I do have a few thousand Solaris staking right now which is why I am earning a nice amount of stakes daily. I do plan on buying some more ready for when we can link our Solaris up with txbit.

Nothing to worry about. It's just vulnerabilities in some of the dependencies of the build, not within the application itself.
