I have 0.007 btc in my JAXX wallet. If I try to send bitcoin to another address using the average mining fee option (0.0016 btc), the maximum amount that I could send is  0.00229094 btc which is wrong since (0.007 - 0.0016 btc) does not equate to 0.00229094. In fact, the max amount that I could spend is way off. Could someone help me pls?Smiley

This isn't the right section for an alternative client. If this is the wallet that you're talking about https://jaxx.io/ , contact their support team and see what the issue is.

Please point me to the right section. newbie here. Their support does not reply to my inquiries so I had to resort to bitcointalk forums.

A moderator will most likely move this thread, so just wait it out. The appropriate section would be: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=37.0

That is strange. When did you contact them?

I'm a newbie having the same problem. I too assumed it was set aside for mining fees, but the amount is unusually high. In my case, I deposited 0.0062 as a test a couple of days ago and only 0.0042 is spendable.

I'm glad I deposited a test first! Hopefully, support will eventually respond and I can move to a different wallet without any loss.

I'm glad that I'm not the only person who have that problem. Jaxx is actually a good wallet. Simple GUI and it also supports other altcoins. Really want to keep using this wallet but this problem must be addressed by the devs ASAP.

I got a reply from support. They said it's a "known bug" that will be addressed in the next release.

Maybe it will allow you to specify transfer totals that are beyond the max? I don't want to spend any more on mining fees to test it, so I've just moved it to Electrum.

Did you ask them when will the next patch be released ? Looking forward to it!
