Dear,

If I were to have either an Antminer S5 or an Antminer S7, how long would it approximately take for either of those to find a Bitcoin (NO pool)? I'm interested in buying either one of those. Electricity is not my concern, but I'm afraid the equipment will break/I'll fuck up in a way, and lose my "investment".

Thanks,
BremFM

Assuming no change in diff during the time, which is a false assumption but at least gives you a ballpark figure, and assuming I didn't screw up the calculations:

S5=1.1THs expected to solve a block in over 760 months
S7=4.7THS expected to solve a block in over 170 months

Increasing diff will increase the time proportionately.

I don't believe in superstition because it's bad luck: 13thF1oor6CAwyzyxXPNnRvu3nhhYeqZdc
These aren't the Droids you're looking for: S5 & S7 (Sold), R4B2, R4B4 (RIP), 2x S9 obsolete, 2xS15-28, S17-56, S17-70
Pushing a whopping 1/5 PH!  Oh The SPEED!!!

Solo mining at this day and age would be insane. No one should even attempt it unless they own a huge mining farm somewhere in chine with free electricity. You can buy it and direct it to a strong pool and mine with them for better results.
