Is your disk encrypted? If not, you can always access your data by booting from a usb drive or a secondary disk and mounting the disk with the os for which you forgot your password.

Wether or not you can reset your password depends on the os and your technical skillset

What operating system your using? if it's windows 7 and not UEFI use hiren's boot search on google how to use it. If windows 8 to 10 use Lazesoft again just search on youtube for instructions if it's MAC this is not for you

In that case I would just go to the apple store if it's mac or something, they always help me out with everything I'm having an issue.

Boot your computer and immediately press on the F8 key repeatedly until your computer displays the boot menu. With the arrow keys, choose Safe Mode and press the Enter key. On the home screen click on Administrator. If you have no home screen, type Administrator and leave the password field as blank.

if your password is not known by you then you need to reset your everything that is the only possible way available otherwise if you back it up your all datas then you can recover after the restore process.

the only way is you need to remember your password otherwise the possibility was very low to login your PC without any problem or deleting the files if you backup your data it will be very safe for you to restore it after solving the problem.

maybe the hackers will helpful for you but if you don't have the contact with the hackers then there is no possibilities available the only way is you need to restore your PC and delete all the files and make the new OS in it

You can get the details by copying your disk into another device.Not sure about mac but it is possible to do on windows.
