Im very new and only getting into mining on a small scale for now... any help/links please??

You basically have one choice: The Gekkoscience 2Pac stick. Its only sold through resellers right now, so that's Amazon or eBay.

This is your best bang for your buck as far USB mining goes.

You can also get very old and used options, but they won't come close to the performance of the 2Pac.

HOWEVER: please note that the chance you'll ROI using an usb miner is rather small...

IF the diff stays the same (witch won't happen)
IF the BTC price stays this high (witch nobody knows)
AS long as the block reward doesn't halve (the reward will halve in a couple of years)
IF you keep this baby running 24/7 (good luck)
IF it runs at 25 Gh/s (good luck)
IF it only uses 2 Watt (this is the mimumum power draw indicated @bitshopper.de, it's probably when you seriously underclock such a stick and don't count the power draw of your controller)
IF you only pay 10 cents/Kwu (i pay 27 cents/kwu myself)

You'll make $12/year in BTC, so it'll probably take +7 years to pay back the stick + S&H IF everything stays status-quo...

I'll probably reopen individual sales once I'm caught up, but I've been holding at four weeks backordered for about six months now and I'd like to shrink that a little.

Breakeven for a USB miner is pretty much impossible. Anymore they exist as learning tools and lottery tickets.

Man I still have a box of the good old Block Erupters that did around 333 Mhz. Times have changed!

The double edge sword about ASIC technology is it comes down in price, but by that time they are pretty much useless.

I wish there were coins I could still mine with those little block erupters to get some type of ROI.

Attention (just my opinion; ):

I do not believe in these usb Asics. Unfortunately to less power.

Nevertheless I know ASICPuppy.net (BitMinerJoe on Amazon)

Their products cannot be that bad according to many assessors.

 As far as I know, the Gekkoscience and the Futurebit Moonlander are the ONLY USB-based miners currently in production.

 Any USB based device, especially "stick" type, is going to be much lower hash/$ than full-up miners, it's VERY rare to ever achieve a significant percentage of ROI on them.

The GekkoScience 2Pac is in fact a real thing, and ASICPuppy.net (forum handle CrazyGuy) is the top reseller of them. JStefanop is also a reliable maker so I'd believe his stuff is real.
