Hi,
for sale a Lamp I had made by a local craftsman/designer in New Zealand .

It is unique because to this date only 2 have been made and signed by the craftsman / designer.
Also, the steel used (flat bars) has some black paint that is partially sanded of, creating a unique pattern.
Final product has been varnished to prevent corrosion.

Come with a NZ / AUS plug but can get it fitted with any plug (UK/euro/US/JPN) by a licensed sparky.

Price : $500  (NZ$) + shipping.

We are working on a website to advertise other types of furniture (table / chairs).
But those would be limited to local market (table are solid 1 piece, would be very expensive to ship).

Should you have question, you can comment or PM me.
I'll update the original post with the info i am being asked in comments / PM.

Pretty neat little item.  Smiley

May I ask who the local craftsman/designer is and if their pieces usually command a premium based on their name?

Gha, i love this lamp but not for $500.
Maybe the questions digicoinuser asked could justify it.

Put it on a display stand in a high fashionable store and someone will pay $500.

Shopping online and sats back as a discount! (satsback) + LightningNetwork

Hi, Thanks for the nice words.

The local craftsman/designer is unknow ( if you google him, you won't find much yet, at best you can find his works as a photographer).
The price has been set based on time spent, material used, and available similar items.

Wooden commercial very basic design  : 120 pounds   (215 nz$ )
http://www.mattpugh.co.uk/lamp-dog-oak.htm

Wooden limited number (99), same kind of design = 149 euros ( 227 nz $)

We are working on a current bigger project and then we will focus on small furniture afterwards.
It is a self contained living unit inside a 20ft shipping container.

We built one last year and it sold for 80 000$ within a Week, all the potential buyers were amazed by the quality of the works.
See picture of the one sold :

Hey Klaaas,
Thanks for the message.

See above for cheaper solutions (which are not unique handmade items).

Funny enough, I met one of the major high end furniture dealer in NZ last week.
He told that there is a market for this kind of pieces.

And we are considering exposing in an Art/shop/boutique next month.

It is crazy to see how much people would spend on a coffee table made in China that doesnt show any sign of quality (more than 2000$ for almost the same quality as IKEA)...  It gives us a good opportunity to do high end, handmade, top quality unique designed pieces.

Cheers

guigui371, that shipping container project looks epic and is likely a great deal for 80BTC.

Thanks for the information about the lamp and sharing the awesome photos.  Smiley

Wow, I gotta say I'm really impressed with the shipping container home. I've never wanted to live in a container more than now, haha!

The second one is going to be finished next week.

it will be put on the New Zealand market for sale.

We ca't really ship it worldwide because it is not Marine proof anymore and not really stack-able.
