Hey guys. I have been in touch with bitcoin since 2011 and I always liked to have a coin but I wanted it to have a unique goal. I now have 2 ideas. The 1st is pretty unique the 2nd less.

Now to by serious what is all needed to launch a proper coin? So with a clear inside. Not possible that someone will get scammed. Not possible that owners can run off with the money. I do want to allow investments but only a very small part.

Does it cost me money to launch a coin?

I might got a developer that wants to work on this plan. But how can I ensure no one else runs off with the same idea?

There have been many alt coins but I want to do something that helps the world.

This is like a kinda simple topic and maybe got asked many times before. But I would like to know what is needed to launch a coin. So I can study it properly and decide if I want to go on with this plan or not.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

it depend if it cost you money or not, if you do a copy paste will cost you nothign but if you need help for programming and adding nice featurs, you will need to invest something, but the big investment is needed to get the coin listen on exchange, usually every dev do this with prmeine or early mine of the first blocks to ensure money for his project

First you must define what you are want to accomplish.
If you want to learn, good that is ok, but if you creating "another one" we will hate you..
You will need community, and if you don't have time to manage with all fake alt accounts you still can pay some members here. Miners will join immediately but they don't stay long, some of them maybe. If POW.
Without hype in main topic you won't get satisfing results.
Majority of new coins are pure forks from existing sucseflull coins, they are only packed in nice boxes and sold as an ICO -shares. This is most popular today! (You can use ICO funds for PR isn't it this nice?)
Signature and all other campaigns are popular, marketing is crucial!
In services you can find guy if you are willing to pay, else you wont find complete manuals for free!

Thanks for the both informative replies. I decided to share the 2nd idea since it can't really hurt to share it. What I want to do with that is make a coin to support 3rd world projects to enable that people can pay in 1 currency. Now of course this not 100% needs a new coin. But if I
can add some unique stuff to it maybe.

But yea I don't want just a other coin it will not work and yes I will not by taken seriously ever.

The 1st idea requires a app and will not really use mining. Now I don't know if mining is 100% required to make coins work. Thats why I am researching this. But I wanted to do a another way how people earn coins and yes this also has to do with donations to 3rd world countrys. More I won't disclose.

This is in so early stage I am still brainstorming about both ideas.

Like if a coin exist that already does the 2nd idea it has no reason to invent a new one for only that.

POS coins are even better, don't require hardware for mining and are much more efficient, also block size depends.. Fork some coin for example BlackCoin, and you can use all its features. Or maybe you can use ETH for creating your own token over their network, this is maybee simplier.
As i understud your plans are to start with en project, for all this you must find somone who is experienced, you can pay him with your shares. Many developers are seeking for jobs here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

The cost to launch a coin on the Nxt (and soon Ardor) platform is about $1 and a couple of hours of reading, learning the Nxt client functions. Nxt takes care of your coin's security, you run your business.

Yes , you can make easily but the main thing in this is that how much money you have and how much better you want to do for your altcoin or coin .
Here you also need your creativity to launch the altcoins .
But here I will suggest you to read the thread here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225690.0
In this thread you can make sure that what are the main steps that we need during the development of the altcoin .
Here is my suggestion for you that , you should do all possible works that you can do your self , this will results into less loss of your money .
My second advice for your that don't give faucet of your altcoin , it is because if you will give your coin to advertise then it may be possible that most of the people don't buy and collect only faucet  .

Thanks for the last 2 replies that already gave me a lot off info. I also did some research there are already coins that do a little with charity projects.

The only reason I wanted to do this coin idea is because so much money disappears in big man bags before any help the people reach in 3rd worlds. There have been good projects here and there. Those small organisations that deserve money since they use every bit off it to really help the people. So that's why I had that idea lurking in my mind that I put all those projects together with a coin and some other things. So taking away the barriers off the big companies making uber expensive commercials all day and just donate to the projects directly. The tokens can then hold a certain worth.

But using a another network to hold the coin is possible to yes. I will think about it further. Also if those organizations take the coins they have to by converted to usd in the trade.

Since 3rd world countries don't really all got computers or electricity. I could go further into introducing cold wallets where people can pay with in 3rd world countries. Not even sure this exists already.

But yea I am just thinking out loud here. For sure something is possible here. For me it's pretty easy to think out but I am not very good with executing things right. So normally I take people the right people with experience. Atm I can't pay anyone. But maybe somewhere in the future when I got lot off free time. I take a stepping stone into this project and create a kind of test. If it looks good I can always release it slowly and get more people interested. For now the idea is in the closet when I think I got a unique way off creating this properly I will see what I can do and test the public again.
