I also forgot to mention, I'm supporting Viacoin for its solid features, hard working developer, and enthusiastic community. Library also. I like the thought of a torrent based internet without central authority where money for making videos is earned by people who watch automatically paying a small ammount of lbry credits. It takes aythority from monopolies like Google and Microsoft.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Currently I support BLOCK

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829576.0

This is why:
With 5 000 Block tokens you can set up a coin exchange node. Imagine you have a Poloniex type exchange for only 5 000 Block coins!!!

I support bitbay for the simple fact that it has a nice smartcontract system and it has the idea of wanting to prevent too great volatility as seen with btc and all other altcoins thus making it a coin regular people won't be scared to adopt.

XMR (poor integration efforts)

What do you mean by that?

Integration is a key success for any project, because the number of child projects (using this crypto) depends directly on the integration efforts.

To be clear, have a look at ethereum, people is interested because it offers a javascript console, and, web3 api, it means, easy integration, so a lot of people are using it because they find it easy to use. (regarding ETH, they still need to deploy more efforts for merchants integration)

Now comparing to XMR, the first problem is with the wallet management, account management, and the lack of methods for general purpose management. Why should i use bash or cmd scripts while all the other major currencies are using IPC or RPC interfaces for integrations ? With full APIs, bitcoin is the best example of integration, they went so far that any language can be used.

Basicaly what i am talking about isn't for GUI users, but for console/server/daemons users, and this is where you can detect if a project have a real futur or not, it have nothing to do with the value of the coin itself as it can be easily be cheated.

Well said. The community behind the coin is fundamental to determine its future. Without the community, the coin would be a total waste as its impossible to take it anywhere further.

Hi All,

It would be interesting to know which Altcoin(s) are you currently supporting and why are you supporting them.

This will greatly generate insights to new adopters and help them get in cryptos.

In addition to BTC, I am holding ETH because of the technology as many new altcoins are developed using ETH blockchain. So for me this is a valuable digital asset for the future of cryptos.

Please share your thoughts on this thread.

All the best!
Holding Ethereum is the right choice to invest in an altcoin. Eth have more valuable than any coins that famous now on the market. Even the price is lower than dash, but everything is proof on the marketcap. Peoples have beleive on this coin, so I should be one of that people.

I think Ethereum will exceed expectations since this is only the beginning for the rise. But the technology and community behind it will make it grow faster.

It is hard to put ETH into other altcoins at the moment, but it sounds fascinating to some of us to invest ETH for bigger returns I guess.

It is wise to keep an eye close to the following digital currencies and expect an increasing value in the years to come:

Waves, Next, Gulden, Dash, Nem, Factom, Dogecoin, Byteball, Bitshares, Solarcoin among others.

The ones with the lower prices to buy are Dogecoin, Bitshares and Nem. From these three, Bitshares is expected to have a slow but consistent growth given the fact that numerous innovative projects are being developed right now involving the Bitshares platform, including the openledger decentralized conglomerate (DEC).

Bitshares look very active with many interesting projects being developed as well. The community is strong too. This should be sufficient to bring on more supporters, will keep an eye on it. Thanks for the mention!

The ethereum community is really strong with the ethereum alliance to be the partner for the ethereum foundation. We can't put ethereum to sit on the others chair.

It would be interesting to know how did Ethereum build their community to that level. Obviously, the technology alone will not make such a strong one.

if supporting that you mean is about to do trade the coins, then i am trade with many altcoin but if supporting for each coins, then i don't think that i can give support for many coins. i only support for the trading only because i don't know about each of the technology of the coins so i think its better to support the coins from doing trading each of coins.

Im supporting Ardor and its platform ( NXT, IGNIS ) and also Bitbay. I believe these two have HUGE potential in the near future as something worth alot more than a typical pump and dump

I believe the support goes beyond the financial means, but does include the trade of course.

As this thread extends, it is really difficult to keep up with all altcoins out there especially for the purpose of trade. It takes extensive research to cover some in detail in order to get involved, but we are still missing out those uncovered.
