Is this possible with altcoins?

Hi everyone I'm here with another post this time it is kind of different.
First of all i needed your help to let me know all the new legit coins which are accepted by few more exchanges who have less market cap
Now the idea i was basically thinking of pumping a coins price and keep pumping at a really good profit and then dump it. Me and few of my friends and relatives have collected and have around $200k.
Doubts
1. Is something like this even possible as there are many coins out there with very less market cap
2. What if the coin we invested in decides to scam us
3. Do you think anything like this can be done with a bit more trusted coins like eth,dash, monero , cloakcoin etc. We are just looking to pump a coin and then dump it for a good profit. Our next plan is to invest for long term in btc with profit only.
Let me know your thoughts and suggestions as we don't want to hurry with such a huge amount.

It csn be done but that is a lot of money to play around with. Why not pump some dead coins or something ? Pump some low volume altcoins so if it doesn't work you dont go sinking all the money into one coin, but only a tiny fraction. Pick any coin that is interesting. Also remember you must look at coins thst you think other people will like and not what you like. Though sometime I think large movement of any coin can begin a pump. Maybe look at that coin pump site and ask there ? They sure so help. The low volume altcoins you pump can be a learning opportunity. Good luck !

What you want to do is actually very complicated and comes with risk.

People easily talk about pumping coins, etc., but the reality is that it's not so easy.

You should be very careful, especially if you are playing with other people's money, potentially their savings, while promising they'll make profits from "pumping" cryptocurrencies.

Also, if you are asking questions like these here you are probably getting in over your head.

Alright after analysing the replies we habe figuered most of you are trying to say is to pump a safe coin and a famous one so that the price can increase more. We checked the market cap of some of the coins that we found a bit famous and less market cap like litecoin who have a cap of 220 mil , monero 260 mil , cloackcoin some 2 mil, dogecoin with some 27mil. So we would like to ask lets say we invest all our money in maybe monero so will the price increase by some 10% as there a high increase in investment or we are getting it wrong and that's not how a coin increases.

You can try that but it'll be still riskier in my opinion when the amount you're investing is too high. It'll definitely pump the coin rate by minimum of 10% but no one knows what may happen next as there are many people who have invested in these coins and if they realize of the pump and start taking out then I'm afraid you'll lose.
It'll be better if you invest in parts in different coins rather going for a single coin.

you can check cryptopia they have all the coin that are not died yet, you can find one with small marketcap and try to pump it, when other will buy you dump, but it's not out of risky, and it come with big luck, isn't better for you to invest in stable and strong altcoin? like decred monero zcash ethereum and other?

As a newbie youre a little bit harsh but still you do have a point since those question by OP can be easily answered specially hes already a senior member but posibilities that he might not know about that thing is also there. Just we all know choosing a potential coin would really be hard and you wont know on which would pump or dump forever thats why i dont really like to risk since ive failed how many times on choosing in the past which i end up on lose of money.

from your two comments i think you are trying too hard to come up with some weird reason to finally find some altcoin to invest in and be sure of its rise.

let me tell you that you will never find any reason like that. altcoins are 99% pump and dump coins and there are very few exceptions with some real potential that will end up being worth nothing or they get pump and dumped and die like other pump and dump coins.

if you want profit, then get in before the pump and get out before the dump. and the last one is more important because people stick around for too long in altcoins and end up losing all the profit they could have earned.

I saw already a lot of dumps and tried to study a little, how they were done, but I think, it's really not that easy...
There are so many things to think about.

You have to select your coin wisely. You should use a coin that
- has a good appearance (logo, website, some marketing)
- still at least a dev, better more
- is quite cheap for the start moment (market cap at start should be not too far over your investment)
- is traded on polo
- that has quite a few buy and sell orders already, you can also pump a coin with no volume, but its more risky, because you are maybe not able to sell much

Then as far as I saw, is the best option to have accumulation phase, where you collect coins. Then pump it to a stable level, keep it there for some time, pump it further, do this a few times, before you start to sell in the upper range while pumping further. Then try to choose only sell amounts, that don't press the price too much down, wait for the recover and dump again. I guess some pumpers of expensive coins do the selling part unrecognized over months to get the best out of it...

There are also a few pumping scripts out there, but I guess, they are quite risky, as other traders know them and will make advance of you :-)

Apologies Zadicar, I have a tendency to give my version of the unfiltered truth :| but even as a newbie I know about pump and dumps, so I would have expected a senior member to be way more knowledgeable than myself about them and famous historical pump and dumps.

I hear you on losing money on last night's XBC pump, I saw it at +400% and thought "that's the end of that pump, but BTCD is only +200% I'll stick all the money I've got in polo into that".

Immediately BTCD falls to +100% meaning I lose half my money. Meantime XBC moves to 3000%. If I'd gone with that I could have gone x6.
