Last I looked into it there was no ASIC miners for Monero / Cryptonight algorightm.  As of this week it looks like Genesis has posted they are now offering Monero contracts using Cryptonight ASIC miners.. Did I miss something? Obviously I know lots of people say they are a scam but that is the first I'd heard of any ASIC miner for cryptonight. Just wondering if anyone knows of anything about ASIC miners for this.  Thanks

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

There is no Cryptonight ASIC miner. They just offer the GPU miners.

I laughed at this when I read your post and just had to go see over on genesis where they talk about "Cryptonight or Monero Asic" and I don't see anything that mentions asic specific to these algos.

Curious; where did you come across this information?

I have a contract with them and if you got to add additional hash to your contract their Monero contracts say; "New powerful Asic mining technology" Smiley

not possible, it's very hard to have gpu over cpu for this algo, asic would have a bad result and would cost too much, what genesis is offering are contract with GPU mining, they do the same with ETH and other coins, those ar enot asic you are confusing the two

For a long time we did not believe that scrypt ASICs was possible, then X11 ASICs appeared...

I'm pretty sure they are lying to try to reduce the players in the gpu field.

Yes, I agreed. New technology will come and every algorithm can be ASIC, just the matter of time.

If the ETH does not change to PoS, ETH ASIC will be there as well.
