Late 2018 or early 2019 is the word on the internet. But there hasn't been any official announcement about it yet, I'm not sure but I don't think even the shooting has begun yet.
Unfortunately as you know season 8 will be only 6 episodes, but they are saying each episode will be feature length, hoping for each episode to be 90 mins+

Winter has indeed come.... There should be at least 1 special episode released this 2018 to sustain interest...

Anyway, the last season was just "ok" for me for the following reasons:
1. It became predictable.
2. The characters teleported from one far place to another
3. It became "Hollywoodish". Only Little Fingers death was a surprise as it was too quick. (IMO he didn't deserve a quick death.)

I guess making each episode 1.5 hours will really give more depth to each episode in Season 8. GoT is still in my top 5 TV series.

Well according to somr spoilers both he and danaerys will die though they'll have a son who'll eventually have the rightful claim dur to lineage. Season 8 may not be pleasant for jon snow and dany fans

Yeah, it has become too predictable. Period. It was way too obvious to figure about few things that were gonna happen in season 7, which I really hated, GOT was all about the plot twist and unpredictability. I guess this is happening because the writers don't have GRRM's source material to take out exact scenes from it, they only know the outline of the story, and so GOT's writing is falling down to writing of an ordinary TV series.

Remember that George R.R. Martin, in the past, has already shown to kill out some of the show's main characters very easily. So there is a big possibility that the bettors will get their money back because the final ruler at the end of the series might not be on the list.

I also reckon that Jaime Lannister might have a better chance than what the odds are showing.

lol I discovered game of thrones too late , so I was avoiding threads and youtube videos talking about it to not get a spoiler
now after I watched the last season I can kinda say that put your money on all the underdogs 
I won't be surprised if all of the characters die at the end , anyways won't consider betting till the next season starts

I had read conflicting scripts in some it is said denerys dies, in some she's send to the island, as of now to early to believe that this would be true, this could be a plot to sell you to see the video's advertisements, as far I know got stars don't know the script yet, and it's been guarded well this time, we shall see some clear picture by next mid year, till then all speculations, I don't believe in any one of them.

I have read the leaks and though it seems very real and the plot seems very entertaining,  it is without doubt that it wasn't the official plot but I will really hate it to be especially since there will be a lot of deaths which in my opinion wouldn't really matter at all.

I am staying the hell away from leaks. I like surprises, there's a certain thrill/rush I get from them. As for who will rule in the end. I wouldn't rule out Sansa Stark. I think in the past season she emerged as very capable. But I would put my money of Jon even though he is the rightful heir, I don't think he would want the throne.

Another trick HBO should do is to leak the scripts themselves and then change the story based on a secret back up script.

In any case, HBO as already identified and charged the hacker, he is an Iranian military man who specializes in hacking nuclear software systems and Israeli infrastructure.
