This is Part #1 of the BitLicense lawsuit in New York State.
https://www.meetup.com/Article-78-Against-NYDFS/events/238795106

On page 5 of the transcript of the last hearing, the judge said: "So, I'm going to decide it together. It's true that if you do get past standing, I may deny the motion to dismiss and order respondents to answer. But, that first hurdle is a big one."

The first question she has to find the answer is standing (do I have the right to sue) or in other words: "I am required to have a Bitlicense to be in Business." - According to the State of New York, my small exchange business doesn't require a BitLicense; but that would mean that Coinbase and Circle did not need one either.

So on 5/4/2017, she will decide whether we can subpoena Lawsky and Krugman to testify on the nature of bitcoin (and that would be for part II of the hearings at a later date.)

If you are in town, feel free to come by;
and if you are not, contact your local newspaper letting them know that you would like them to follow that story. They can reach their AP/AFP/Reuters affiliate in NY to cover the story.
