1st. Take custom bios as is flash to your card. I did this and brick my card. I can unbrick it of course. Doesn't work. Often even if my card is RX 480 Sapphire Nitro OC with samsung memory, a bios for another RX 480 Sapphire Nitro OC with samsung memory may not work.
2nd. Take custom bios, change some id in polaris editor using my card and flash.
3rd. Take custom bios, copy the memory density and time strapping to current bios and flash.
4th. Take current bios, change memory strapping based on something.

Which one did you use and which one is right?

1st one is right but you need to have older drivers.
I am using 16.9.1 and it's working perfectly fine with same card as yours Smiley

Where can I download 16.9.1?

So it has to be older drivers?

Do I need to make sure that the serial code for the product is the same?

You can get the older drivers from AMD's site but it depends on your OS. Here is for Windows 10 x64: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064

Newer drivers do checks and the card won't be enabled with modified BIOS.

I got crimson 16.9.1

That's not catalyst. It's okay right?

I know about signature check and can bypass it. However I bricked my card if I use custom bios.

Can you show me bios you used?
