I'm interested in compiling a list of significant bitcoin/altcoin news media websites, to better track down breaking news as well as trends in cryptocurrency.  Below are the sites I've identified so far, starting with those I'm more familiar with. If anyone knows of other English-language sites please post them. (Note that I'm not interested in click-bait sites with regurgitated news, or fronts that merely issue press releases/propaganda paid for by pump-and-dumpers.)

MEDIA SOURCES:

www.Coindesk.com
www.Cointelegraph.com
www.Cryptocoinsnews.com
www.Bitcoinist.com
www.Bravenewcoins.com
www.crypto-news.net
www.bitcoinmagazine.com
www.newsbtc.com

I'd also mention the subreddits /r/bitcoin and /r/btc, as well as this forum of course.

Be very wary of relying on JavaScript for security on crypto sites. The site can change the JavaScript at any time unless you take unusual precautions, and browsers are not generally known for their airtight security.

Qntra focuses on Bitcoin or somewhat crypto-related news. I don't read them so often nowadays, but I still check it from time to time, and it's missing on your list. I usually check Coindesk too and that's pretty much about it. I prefer checking the forum and reddit mainly...

Oh no. How can you treat r/bitcoin and r/btc as news sources? They're basically in a civil war with each other and I wouldn't trust these subreddits much. But I like the idea of some kind of list where all cryptocurrency news sites will be. How about setting up a simple website? I, unfortunately, don't currently have time to do this, but others might have enough time...

Amidst the mudslinging they do provide one of the best forums for quickly catching breaking news as it gets upvoted. Just wear body armor and wash up after you've been in either one...
