Is anybody else having an issue with the Watchdog service restarting EWBF or ZM about 4 times an hour?  It looks like the miner is crashing somehow, but I don't see anything in the logs.  I'm at all stock clocks and power as well.

Ok guys I've been struggling for a few days now.
-First I did as guide said. Installed everything smoothly on usb flash drive. 16 gb 3.0 flashdriver. Everything went smoothly until freezes started.
-Then I Changed my USB Drives. Bought a new one and The freezes still happened.
-I switched to usb 2.0 - It still didnt work.
-Then I installed on 120 gb ssd disk, which should perform amazingly better the all the other options. Well not, The rig still freezes.
 * I've changed settings in bios
-Turned off onboard gpu
-Switched from auto to 2Gen
-Disabled fast boot.
*The problem with usb was, It would do a restart and after a restart it went straight into bios without recognizing my usb flash drive. The ssd on the other hand, just freezes without any reboots or anything.
- Someone suggested I should check the risers but they are all fine. Brand new. The GPU'S are brand new and everything seems to be recognized in the Terminal. The hashes are fine and everything. Any other sultions? Im helpless, my Rigg just goes down sometimes after a 1 hour sometimes after 6 hours.
PS. My internet connection is fine because all the other rigs run on the connection with the same brand SSD's, OS and does just fine.

My setup : H110 Pro BTC+ (Motherboard) / 13 X GTX 1070 Asus Dual / 2x 4GB Kingston Ram / Kingston 120 gb SSD / Some fine ass 1151 socket Intel /Risers are classical 6pin 006c ver / OS : nvOC 19

Will marry you if you help me!

can you add the last three or five lines of the algo_log file to this monitoring telegram for those using the MPH-Profit_Switching?

This gives an idea of what mine the rig has been for at least 2 hours, at what price and how much time for each line.

I know its not the same thing, but i'm using this as of now;

Code:
CURRENT_COIN=$(head -n 1 /home/m1/current-profit)
MSG=" Worker: $WORKERNAME
Currently Mining: $CURRENT_COIN

Recent end lines of algo_log file (/home/m1/algo_log) on my little rig :

In fact, the salfter's script add a new line each time that the profitability change, and so, each time it change the miner's software assoicated with new coin profitability.

I will try for a month miningpoolhub autoexchange from next sunda (first october).

unless a new profitability script is created here.

I think I will upgrade to version 20 but I stay with the v19 for now, without updating BETA. I prefer the stable versions. But has the next big stable maj I think I will activate telegram.

Some suggestions:
- I would take a few gpu's out (try booting with 10, or 9, as low as it'll go until you're sure it's stable) for example - sometimes too much strain on the PSU causes unstable voltages and when you loose a gpu you freeze.
- Check if the PCIE risers that actually plug into the board are not overheating and melting the solder (yes possible - I had to put electrical tape on some risers because the soldering would melt and start touching the adjacent connectors - I read on the forum others had that issue as well).
- make sure both molexes are plugged into the Asrock board as well as the SATA power board connector
I also disable all audio/hd audio/sata and other unnecessary controllers.
But I think the most likely candidate is the PSU not providing stable voltage across all the cables  (or dual PSU connectors if you have those)

k any cables getting hot? risers melting?
I would start by taking the 2 cards off the 700W to see if you're stable on just one PSU
you can also try putting a power limit on the cards in 1bash to something low like 100w and test stability that way.
Sometimes there is just a bad card that crashes (check 5_restartlog) if nothing there, uncheck erase logs from 1bash and check the logs after crash.

Ok thanks! I will try to check that tomorrow. Problem Is my rig is remote, so every time it goes down it is another 12 hours offline

I have 2800 w Psu and 1 extra 700 watt that powers 2x cards.

k any cables getting hot? risers melting?
I would start by taking the 2 cards off the 700W to see if you're stable on just one PSU
you can also try putting a power limit on the cards in 1bash to something low like 100w and test stability that way.
Sometimes there is just a bad card that crashes (check 5_restartlog) if nothing there, uncheck erase logs from 1bash and check the logs after crash.

Ok thanks! I will try to check that tomorrow. Problem Is my rig is remote, so every time it goes down it is another 12 hours offline

I know your pain Wink
in that case also add this after your miner starts from any terminal depending on your mining process:

sudo renice -10 -p $(ps aux | grep '[c]cminer' | awk '{print $2}')

the part after | grep '[n]nnnn' | depends on the "executable" of your mining process, so depending on what your mining (check in 3main what your HCD is for your case) so it could be [m]iner in case of EWBF or [e]thminer in case of Genoil etc

this will prioritize the process in case there is something else running in the background tripping the mining process up.

Hello more experienced Miners. I am new to the scene.

I have a 12 mixed gpu mining rig (6x1070 and 6x470) and would like to explore moving to linux (tb-250 btc pro) I see two versions of this release, one for Nvidia and another for AMD.

All I really care about is per-GPU undervolt/GPU and memory clock speeds for both and and nvidia. From what I gather the amd undervolt/clocking is typically done in bios. Can it be done in software? I would like full software control over the clock settings for all my cards. Is this possible?

I would also like the ability to update ubuntu drivers as they come out, independent of any kind of packaged mining OS release.

I would also like the ability to put all 6 nvidia cards into P0 state.

Whats the best practice?

Thanks in advance Smiley

There are NO such limitations; nvOC is designed to max of 13 cards without any modification of 1bash & 3main (can add more by modifying these two files). Try to verify the risers (swap them around with the working ones).

Hash rates dropped with your 8 cards??
OK, I think same - no limitations...

I've rate ~6400 Sol/s with 8 cards.

After connection next 3 cards, rate dropped to ~5100 Sol/s only. nvOS didn't detect more than 8 cards, as you can saw on nvidia-smi.

Well, risers maybe problem - I'm novice in mining, so I ordered more types. I using version v006C and v008S. On cards plugged on v006C blinking LEDs below power connectors on card. I've ordered 13 pcs of v008S (these: www.aliexpress.com/item/TISHRIC-2018-Hot-VER008S-Molex-4PIN-15PIN-SATA-6PIN-3-in-1-PCIE-PCI-Express-Riser/32830747032.html). I hope that will works well.

Many thanks :-)

What is your CPU ?
I had the exact same issue with AsRock and 12 Ti's and it all went smooth when i switched the CPU's from the rig with my own. For me it worked putting a i5 7400 on the motherboard. Maybe it works with a less expensive CPU but it was the only one i had around.
I've installed Intel Pentium G4500 @ 3.50GHz - it's maybe the problem?

Unfortunately there's no nvrxOC yet Wink

Both distributions are optimized for single vendor only. Adding AMD support to nvOC means rewriting all the code that's already in play, basicaly creating a new distro...

fullzero (the creator) stated that he experimented with mixed amd/nvidia cards but I doubt that is high priority now while there is still lots to improve in the current distributions.

Anyway, I won't speculate, I believe he will respond to your query when he can.

Thanks for the reply.

Is it possible to use 12 GPU's of the same vendor (ATI/Nvidia) with this on a tb-250 BTC Pro? I've read the typical limit of using the same brand GPU in either Linux or Windows is around 7-8. I see my motherboard has limited support in the initial post with a specific order of operations in order to get >6 working cards, but does this scale to 12 of the same type?

Yes, you can use 12 nvidia GPU's on TB-250 BTC Pro with nvOC out of the box. Someone reported using 19 GPU's with slight modifications with the new Asus board. There are lot of us using 12 or 13 GPU's on one board with nvOC. Please note though, with your board you have to boot up with 6 GPU's first, change some setting in the bios, then add the other 6. I think the procedure is listed in the first post of this thread. The limit you are reffering to, applies to Windows only. You can use max 8 under windows.

Trying to mine BTX with the TPccminer change as mentioned above gets me to: https://i.imgur.com/3RNw9f9.png

And then it crashes right after. Doesn't matter how low I set the intensity of reduce the overclocks. Any ideas?

EDIT! - I kept restarting it again and again. It mined for a little bit and then crashed, I'm going to keep playing with my settings.

EDIT - I just went back to Zcash, whatever is going on with BTX is just too unstable for me for some reason.

I have issue too using ccminer for btw.

I alsk change name ktccminer is not in my files.

Of starts the miner and then stops, i can read it say it is mining bitcore algo though.

There are multiple ccmjner folders. Tested multiple one says unknown and 2 say it starts but terminates screen after.

Kxccminer and tpccminer work I believe.
But terminates the screen after it starts.

--- edit
It starts mining 14 mh per gpu.

It stops after some cpu error.

--- edit

It says --- error gpu4 'somenumbers' does not validate on cpu

Then it terminates miner

Is anybody else having an issue with the Watchdog service restarting EWBF or ZM about 4 times an hour?  It looks like the miner is crashing somehow, but I don't see anything in the logs.  I'm at all stock clocks and power as well.

In 1bash ensure:

CLEAR_LOGS_ON_BOOT="NO"

then logs with maintain overtime

Same here for me!
I also get this inscreen error sometimes..

i have 12 gpu miners..

the ZM miner gives me more often errors though so I currently stick with EWBF/

there is a new zm version I will push in an update soon
