中新网4月3日电 据俄罗斯卫星网报道，世界卫生组织新闻处消息称，该组织认定抑郁症是导致残疾和健康问题的最常见原因。目前全世界有超过3亿人受到抑郁症困扰。

消息称，抑郁症的蔓延规模接近于流行病。2005年至2015年10年间，抑郁症患者数量增加了18%。

同时，世界卫生组织发现了抑郁症与其他疾病之间的紧密联系。其中，抑郁症使患糖尿病和心脏病等疾病的风险增加。抑郁症还是全世界每年数十万起自杀事件的主要诱因。

报道指出，抑郁症是一种表现为情绪持续低落和对生活失去兴趣，并在至少14天内无法进行日常活动的心理疾病。
