I did mine Vericoin (VRC) and they say you can mine Magi coin (XMG)
They're damn cheap.

Ok so Magi coin is a viable CPU mining coin? By viable, I mean the income exceeds to cost of electricity in most spaces.

I've been thinking about this for a while too - I have a GPU mining rig and since that is running all day I may as well have the CPU mining something on the side (even if it is a little ole Pentium).

Open to further suggestions/hearing other peoples experiences.

On condition you have loads of CPUs and your other expenses close to zero. It may be OK.
But with the current rate they trade on - it looks like rubbish, unless the CPU mined coins would someday launch to the Moon?...

For me personally than to use the CPU as the site of mining, better use of GPU or special tools such as Bitmain. Because now this is not the place for the CPU that is profitable, because much of the technology that has changed and no doubt they will use technology more efficiently. Because everyone wants to use the latest technology, now it ITS CPU is a technology that is not efficient and take up a lot of places as well as electricity. Use the CPU for a much more profitable activities and use the GPU or special tools to mine.

My 3900x does 13000 hashes.   Mine monero if you have a ryzen cpu.
