There are thousands of known US military bases - as well as NATO (aka U.S.A.) ones - in Europe, more than in any other continent. Most of these bases are mainteined by European taxpayers.

The number of secret installation is - obviously - unknown.

Here are some maps:

Thus, basically, the whole EU is a huge U.S. colony overseas.

U.S. government is the biggest and most dangerous cancer in the world. When will European people rebel againts those fuckin' yankees?

If America does not change its policy which now, with the advent Trump has changed 180 degrees the number of these databases may be substantially reduced. Even to negotiate on this subject with Trump nobody wants. He is considered a clown.

Just the same reason Russia annexed Crimea, control. Both sides are building up to make sure that anyone trying to invade would feel pain. IMHO though, it's mostly probably to box out Russia, pretty much exactly what the island Chain in the Pacific is doing to keep China in check.

Russia is becoming more aggressive though (either by their own decision or maybe as response to some things we don't know). Thankfully for them though, it seems the new US president would be submissive to Russia.

Trump will not be subservient to Russia. He probably long been bought by Putin, but fortunately not everything depends on him. America is not Russia and there are many mechanisms which will not allow a corrupt President to destroy the country.

You cant really blame European members under NATO control to try and defend themselves from Russian aggression. They are just trying to defend themselves and have measure in place in case Russia attacks.  I remember Russian attacks in Georgia and Crimea very well.

It's natural that American army protecting Europe.
American army is strongest in the world and in Europe we have a lot issues with Russia, terrorism etc.
It's based on agreement between Europe and America, any way.
I don't see anything wrong with it.
In the first and second world war Europe and America, together, won and created new, better world.
It's to much really to call Europe American colony just because America have some soldiers there Smiley

Such cooperation between Europe and America is not beneficial to the Russian. They are afraid and do not spare money to bribe politicians to provoke this quarrel. Not going to work. Now in power in America you idiot, and I think that cooperation can be slightly reversed, but in the future it will be resumed.

I dont think its a colony as such its just the America is protecting its interest and allies against Terrorism and Russian aggressions. This is a mutual cooperation between the two sides.

I agree with you. It is only mutually beneficial cooperation. It seems to me that this idea vkidyvaet Russian propaganda to provoke a quarrel of Europe and America on this ground.

Everything that the Americans done for Europe during World War II still has some debts to collect,so that their presence in Europe will not stop any time soon. It's hard for me to imagine that the military bases in Europe are only because of Russian threats,if this was only reason then Europe is weaker than it appears.

Regarding US-German relations some information appeared about Germany is USA vassal until 2099,referring to a secret agreement in the years after World War II.How many there is truth it is hard to tell, but we should remember the American obsession regarding wiretapping German politicians involving itself Chancellor Merkel.

The fact is that the US wants to maintain military supremacy in Europe, question is whether countries agree voluntarily to the US military presence or simply do not have the choice to say no.

Very good analisys, in my opinion.

I said EU is an American colony for just one reason. Let's assume the German (or Spanish or Italian, etc.) government doesn't like to host US bases anymore and wanna kick them out of Germany. Do they have the power to do it? I think no, thus Germany (and most of EU) is just an American colony or a vassal...say it in any way you want, the meaning doesn't change. They are puppets.

Perhaps you are right that Europe is very much connected with America and even performs many actions only with the permission of the United States. But we still need to take into account, this Europe is a lot of countries that make a decision only after a general discussion. And everyone will not dance to the music of the United States.

What is the second map supposed to show? If those are US military bases, they are also on the territory of Russia, which is strange.
I don't mind them having forces in the EU. They are renting land in exchange for military training and equipment, so the governments are agreeing to their presence. Also, I'd prefer to have a US outpost in my country than a Russian one.

That red point in Russia is Ulianovsk, which is not a Nato base, but a logistic place used by NATO to move armies and weapons. Nothing strange.

We will see. Trump will not go down easily despite how they ridicule him. He still have followers who can see nothing wrong with anything he say or do.

How about adressing the fact, that many of those dots are in Russia, China etc.? While I agree that Europes foreign policy is heavily influenced by US foreign department, there is also flip side. Europeans did not pay for their own defense in decades.

Germany, by far most influental country of the Union, spends less than 1% of its GDP on military, that despite the fact taxation is far, far higher than any in the North America.

The European Union is basically an American colony, just like the GCC nations, South Korea, Japan.etc. But at the same time, the Americans grant some sort of sovereignty to nations such as Japan. But as far as the EU is concerned, there is no sovereignty.
