Buy Litecoin Inmediately.

I've wondered (and asked) before why Litecoin would need SegWit, but never got an answer. For Bitcoin I get it: blocks are full, and transactions are slow and expensive. Current blocks have reached their limit.
Litecoin doesn't have any of these problems.

And segwit opens the door to the Lightning Network + a ton of devs building on top of it. Pretty huge.

Is this really worth the hype?

Well there has been talk that IF the code for segregated witness is first on litecoin then they will proceed down the road for 'lightning network'

also the author of mimblewimble protocol on bitcoin may do the same..

so yeah..it is a big deal in price IF the above stuff is STABLE and works....and gets devs excited

my view is with the above and a coin/devs acting like adults with a bit of direction ...you easlily could see 15-40 buck LTC prices

You can also look at it this way

IF LTC was at $4 coin at $800 BTC and now is $9 coin at the current $1140 price with segregated witness hype...AND throw in the 'complication' that perhaps Bitcoin gets to
2,000 usd this year..just having LTC plug along as it has ...well it is not far fetched to consider LTC stable as an  $18 buck coin...

so it is looking pretty good from a logic point of view (not that logic has anything to do with crypto prices and use ec)

anyway my BET was a mess of L3's because the price floor I stated (bravest post of my life) was no less then $6....by taking that bet and making my self
post it on bitcointalk...I thus had to suck it up and buy miners....

Here comes hardware miners who stopped selling and just going to run there hardware to pump Litecoin because they know there ROI is like 30 days, than they will sell the hardware.
You will see alll the L3 and A4 are sold out or about to be sold out, because they don't want any hashing competition period or markedup for resell at higher point.

Nice game hardware makers... almost 700ghz came online in 5 days.  that was equivalent to 30% of total hash oustanding.

Hashrate went up 30% but the price up 125%. I told you already that ASIC supply is constrained. Mom and pop miners are making a killing right now on LTC, if they signal SegWit and sustain the price rise to $50 due to the exclusive on scaling that Litecoin will have and Bitcoin will NEVER get.

I am very very skeptical i think hardware makers control a lot of supply of Litecoin and they can move/manipulate market by pumping Litecoin they know they can move Litecoin on one exchange by buying $100k worth of to create artificial constraint. Once they move the price by few bucks it has momentum and the community and speculators take over after that all they have to do is switch on hashing power mint more litecoin to bring there average cost per litecoin down and at the same time make a killing selling all the hardware @ $2000 a pop. once enough sales of hardware accomplished they can dump coin and release hardware.

the reason they do major release like available date of April 24th is so they can maximize there sales. where 1000s of l3 or A4 are sold and you have no idea how much hash is hitting the network because if you did you would know that you would not recover your initial investment in 6 months, as the difficulty spikes. Only Hope for Miners to recoup investment cost is to hope and pray that price per coin keeps rising.

Even if they dump their coins and sell their hardware, if the price is rising faster than the supply due to Litecoin having an exclusive on Lightning Networks scaling because Bitcoin will never get it, then Blockstream is forced to develop for Litecoin instead of Bitcoin, then why wouldn't the LTC price fulfill the chart destiny which I showed to $50 and beyond?

My logic with minning and what I have in such (scrypt pow) and what I just put in with L3's is more 'modest' ..even if Litecoin plugs along as it has kinda sorta to BTC's $1,000 price
at $4-$5 say ratio of say it stablizes at 0.006 ltc to btc and BTC hits $3k of coin price in say 1 year (as the pundits state) ..this is my $18 buck price...but this was before the
segregated witness looked likely and this last to $9 ltc price pump. MY above was just litecoin acting like litecoin as it has the last 3 years.....

with the hype /segregated witness/mimblewimble/etc and the excitement among crypto/devs/users..well you could make a 'conservative' imho bet of $25 coin with BTC at say
$2k to $3k

Boring also works. Not to mention at 0.077 elec for me and the amount of scrypt pow hash I could STILL hash my way out of a $5 or $6 LTC hole (with all my hash) and double
the difficulty ....even if after say 15-17 months I just traded $$$ to Equip to LTC mining back to $$$ and am even steven (traded oranges to oranges) ...ie only mined my way
even out of the hole I put myself in with equip and difficulty rise of everyone doing the same   Done that before in 2014..it sucked...but muddled thru

Man I don't know if i am sleepy or tired but you are starting to make more and more sense interms of Litecoin having real potential.

So I just bought 50 LTC 2 min ago and not going to sell the ones I have and the Ones I mine also converting some BTC to LTC more like .25 BTC.

there are still a lot of weak hands in the litecoin market who are selling their short positions cheap and prevent the faster rise but overall looking at the charts, it is rising and analysis points to a higher price.

with this recent news about Segwit and batpool signalling it, i believe many things are going to change and the hype alone can cause a big pump as we have been expecting months ago when segwit first started on litecoin.

now the question is how much?
we have seen 0.03BTC for litecoin recently and with all the other altcoins getting dumped these days i say we can expect it again and even go up to 0.05BTC this time around.

i seriously doubt these two statements have anything to do with each other!
and it seems that you have forgotten who started signalling SegWit for litecoin a couple of days ago. it was F2Pool. and yes they are both big on litecoin and on bitcoin.
this may be a test to then move on stronger to bitcoin.

the price rise actually started before any change in segwit activation percentage and then it speed up after the increase in that percentage support (currently around 70%) and i believe it will speed up more when it passes 75% (the target) and then it will be easy rise.

because Coblee sold them the angle that it will significantly increase the value of the coins they have/will mine which will more then make up for any perceived fee loss (btw we are talking here not segwit but what comes after like LN etc).

like most economic models if you work for what benefits the whole it generally also works out to be whats best for you. but thats lost on so many facets of the bitcoin community.

I agree that litecoin is a buy at this moment. apart from the initial bump in price, it hasn't made any big moves yet. These LTC/BTC ratios are still extremely low and it has been sustainably higher for long periods in the past.

I wouldn't be surprised if we went to 20 usd or more this month.

The huge jump in price will be when the Bitcoiners realize that Bitcoin is never going to get scaling, thus they won't be able to transact any more on Bitcoin (will be too expensive) and thus Litecoin will become the transaction coin that everybody is using.
