That still depends on the terms of the agreement you make with both seller/buyer and the escrow service guy.
Most of the people that do Escrow service here are trusted, because many people before has done that through them and their feedback is positive.
If any of these account would take something for them, they would instantly lose the ability to make an escrow service, believe me- news like that spread with the speed of lightning.
There are many requirements to start a service like that, and that is one of the reasons why we dont see thieves among them usually, which is great for all forum traders.
Obviously, you dont have to use escrow every time but it is highly recommended due to many people that are looking for an occasion to take the money away from you.
Be careful, be sure what are you doing and nothing will interrupt you.
