API stands for Application Programming Interface. Ginagamit mostly ito ng mga developer para matrack yung paggamit nung application nila, kung naaabused ba or ginagamit sa kung anu man. Kung di mo nagets baka dito magets mo. Link.

Ginagamit ang API for security and development purposes. Ang owner ng isang app (Ex. Web applications) ang magbibigay ng api keys sa mga gustong makaaccess sa data nila, mostly mga registered and valid users ang binibigyan nila nito. Ang owner din ang may kakayahang magset ng methods and functions na pwede lang gamitin ng mga other developers.
