what's up with this site's broken search?

it has been this way for months,... every time I try and search I get

which is obviously not true as I have not posted for days...

is this a bug?  Is this going to get fixed?  (rather, this is a bug, and when it wit get fixed?)

Sadly, it's not a bug. We had to put this limit in place because it was slowing down the site considerably. Until we can come up with a better solution, you can do a Google search and add site:bitcointalk.org to your search query.
