Looks great, keep up the work. Wondering what is your eventual ROI?

Thank you!
We would like to add to it some GPUs, but ain't easy, because we have to add a datacenter abroad, here the electricity is simply too high!

About the ROI we can mine from 7 000 to 16 000 BURST per day ATM

The main aspect is the capacity of course, speed plays a secondary role but still important! So yes there is a benefit in using FASTER HD/SSD

Yeah STORJ as well, but I like BURSTCOIN with its ASSET EXCHANGE it's good to get investments and to enlarge the farm faster, and the pure PROOF OF CAPACITY algo that is unique

The problem is that the reading speed is too long, and also after a while they most likely close your account

Great farm!

Do you have any figures on how much power they use?
Here 1TB=$30 is the best offer i can get. I may get roi in 400ish days if i had free electricity of course.

The electricity cunsumtion is really minimal, and ofcourse depends on the HDD you chose!
In my case I'm using extrnal SEAGATE D3 station 4 and 5 TB, they consume around 100-240 v (power supply specs)

Thank you, as I wrote before I would like to integrate with GPU as well but it takes time because I have to do it abroad due to the costs of electricity here! I already have some possibilities but for now it's just talk!

The sweet spot for drives right now is probably the Seagate Archive 8GB model.

"shingled recording" is a perfect fit for BURST since you only write the drive once and read it many times.

SSD is a major MINUS for BURST mining as the drives are way expen$$$$ive per TB making it almost impossible to ever achieve ROI on them.

Drive SPEED isn't a significant factor, as you're almost always going to be limited to how fast your decoding hardware can go.
Definitely NOT a factor when running a CPU-based miner, even my 8-core rig with AVX can only manage less than 20% of the decode MB/s that the drives themselves can do on transfer rate.
This might not be the case if you are using a HIGH END GPU to do the decode work with, on the order of an AMD RX 480 or a Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or higher - but you'd make a TON more money doing GPU mining with such a card anyway.

In my opinion is with usb 3.0 external, they are a bit cheaper and easier to install than SATA, and far away cheaper than SSD

ROI consideration:

315tb / 5tb = 63 drives.

12000 k burst (average) is about 19/20 usd per day.

5tb cost 140/160 usd.

Total investment 9450 usd
Income per month 600 usd.

ROI in 15,75 month (Im not calculating electricity cost)

Just for information..
