hey folks, it seems C-Cex is working again
The **ONLY** reason TorCoin was down today was because of the C-Cex withdrawal issue and the fact that I asked coinmarketcap to de-list C-Cex from the Markets api, thus the price today does not reflect TOR on C-cex at all.
I will ask Coinmarketcap to add C-Cex back in. This was a frustrating day for me as C-Cex offered me precisely zero communication about their problems :-(

To compile the linux version did you follow the directions at the start of the thread, including all the various packages?
to actually compile cd src; make clean; make -f makefile.unix
Yes I installed all package included zerocoin this is the part of code compiling during error g++ -O2 -pthread -Wall -Wextra -Wno-ignored-qualifiers -Wformat -Wformat-security -Wno-unused-parameter -g -DBOOST_SPIRIT_THREADSAFE -I/home/nist5/new/src -I/home/nist5/new/src/obj -DUSE_UPNP=0 -DUSE_IPV6=1 -I/home/nist5/new/src/leveldb/include -I/home/nist5/new/src/leveldb/helpers -DHAVE_BUILD_INFO -fno-stack-protector -fstack-protector-all -Wstack-protector -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -o coinonatd obj/groestl.o obj/blake.o obj/skein.o obj/keccak.o obj/jh.o obj/alert.o obj/version.o obj/checkpoints.o obj/netbase.o obj/addrman.o obj/crypter.o obj/key.o obj/db.o obj/init.o obj/irc.o obj/keystore.o obj/miner.o obj/main.o obj/net.o obj/protocol.o obj/coinonatrpc.o obj/rpcdump.o obj/rpcnet.o obj/rpcmining.o obj/rpcwallet.o obj/rpcblockchain.o obj/rpcrawtransaction.o obj/script.o obj/sync.o obj/util.o obj/wallet.o obj/walletdb.o obj/noui.o obj/kernel.o obj/pbkdf2.o obj/scrypt.o obj/scrypt-arm.o obj/scrypt-x86.o obj/scrypt-x86_64.o obj/zerocoin/Accumulator.o obj/zerocoin/AccumulatorProofOfKnowledge.o obj/zerocoin/Coin.o obj/zerocoin/CoinSpend.o obj/zerocoin/Commitment.o obj/zerocoin/ParamGeneration.o obj/zerocoin/Params.o obj/zerocoin/SerialNumberSignatureOfKnowledge.o obj/zerocoin/SpendMetaData.o obj/zerocoin/ZeroTest.o obj/txdb-leveldb.o -Wl,-z,relro -Wl,-z,now -Wl,-Bdynamic -l boost_system -l boost_filesystem -l boost_program_options -l boost_thread -l db_cxx -l ssl -l crypto -l miniupnpc -Wl,-Bdynamic -l z -l dl -l pthread /home/nist5/new/src/leveldb/libleveldb.a /home/nist5/new/src/leveldb/libmemenv.a

I can confirm, c-cex withdrawal works again. Mabe they wanted to prevent people from buying cheap and selling high on an other exchange. Well, let's hope it was just a coincidence that prices were way off compared to other exchanges at the time when withdrawals didn't work.
Anyway, I got a question for thetorcoin: Does the project have a new dev yet?
I haven't read anything about that!
Re: C-Cex >> they had some kind of internal problem, because it always said 'invalid address' when I tried to withdraw some TOR. Anyways, it does seem to work fine now, so I will add them back as a validated exchange. I am rather annoyed they did not communicate with me at all about the issue. Re: Dev >> This is not an issue. I have numerous devs working on TorCoin projects like android wallet. I am currently interviewing several extremely talented devs for the position of Lead Developer - guys who have proven themselves working on top 50 Coinmarketcap coins in the past. I will hire one once I decide on the right person for the longterm job. The new dev will not be named and will work anonymously, to avoid the problems that Carsen faced from the TorProject harassing him. So don't expect me to make some big announcement about hiring a new Lead Dev, but rest assured he will be a lot more competent than Carsen and will never have enough TOR to do any damage to the market (mistake I made with Carsen was giving him way too much TOR).

Once again, the low price on CoinMarketCap today not correct. It is simply because I asked them to remove C-Cex from the markets api, so the price on CoinMarketCap does not reflect accurately the price of TOR. I would not worry about it, C-Cex will be added back in now that it is working, and the price should double tomorrow I figure.

it is not working. i can see only paper wallet designs , logos & images only. or if i don't know then pls help me how it works. you need to open index.html in a browser. this is to insure you're running it from your computer, rather than a potentially hazardous website. after all you're generating a "unique" privkey so doing it locally is safer than remotely. there's an example of it working here http://www.torcoinfaucet.com/paper/ << this however will download the zip file from my git rather than the TorCoin git. edit, i might suggest to linenoise that he change that (if he continues to host the paper wallet generator that is)

Maybe because this is the coin of the year — you should do the same... How will the value then go up if everyone hoards it? Surely economics dictate you need buyers AND sellers to move markets? If a crypto has no use case other than speculation it will die off once the next big thing comes around, no? People will lose interest if it doesn't get used in the real world. It might pay to keep some aside but if you really want this coin to succeed, actually try using it for something.....it is called crypto "currency" after all.......

You are right So I'm thinking, is it possible to accept tor (or other crypto) in open bazaar with something like coinpayments or would I need to set up an Alphabay account on tor network? I see tor is not listed on Cryptopia, they have a market place and an exchange, and a simple (ish) mining function (don't know how well it works but peeps in there seem happy with it?) but the market place would let me accept crytpo, I think? I did sell on ebay but I'll be poked in the eye with a spoon before I accept their charges and fees again. And they sent me an email asking me to stop putting "bitcoin or crypto accepted here" in my listings. Any advice appreciated, I'm certainly not an expert ;-)
